Phoenix Hart is a folk/indie/pop singer and songwriter based in Dallas, Texas who is beginning to make a mark on the Texas music scene.
She and her band performed this past weekend at the Old Pecan Street Arts Festival in Austin, Texas and will be playing at another festival on May 15 in Fredericksburg, Texas at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds.

Started on December 24 during Julian's birthday party, Mission 53 is a future composition of Julian Ray's upcoming album 'Argonauts of Kosmos'. It was a spontaneous thing as I did this artwork to mark his 53rd birthday. Happy birthday, Julian!!! :-) ...and it turned out that this image will be filled with cosmic music content after all :-)
To fulfill his Mission 53, Julian is going to release in the new year a couple of albums with cosmic music as well as the New Age/Lounge album called 'In Flow Of Light', which is almost ready and be released in January 2010.
You are welcome to listen one of the composition from the upcoming 'In Flow Of Light' called 'Silence' here, one of my favourites.

As my understanding of the Zone System and post processing for black & white photography evolves, I can't help but revisit some of my personal favorites. I'd written a long, long post for this photo about the merits of craftsmanship in photography and the pitfalls of "inspiration", but I realized that maybe it sounded a little preachy. Suffice it to say, if I'm truly honest as far as my own work is concerned, there's always room for improvement...

Recently I got the honor to go record an album in Nashville. It was an incredible time. Couldn't think of a better way to spend a week of my life. One fun shot was our guitarist Matt hoofing a heavy amp head down the street to return it. Something about this shot screamed musician to me.
