Great to see this raptor over the nature reserve yesterday for the first time.

This photo was taken by last year or the year before. All I could remember is that time I was fascinated by the idea of lights travel through the forest. But apparently, I failed to get it.
If anyone could give me some advices or recommend some place with more trees around Perth, I will really appreciate.

Male greater kudu(Tragelaphus strepsiceros), a woodland antelope found throughout eastern and southern Africa. It is one of the largest species of antelope. Bulls weigh 190–270 kg (420–600 lb). The bulls also have beards running along their throats, and large horns with two and a half twists.

We followed a walking trail not too far from Bruges, called the 'Doeveren walk'. It mainly leads through wood, but there are some meadows that are grazed by Galloway cattle too.
I was kind of surprised the last time that I went to Circle B Bar Reserve a couple of weeks ago. The creek alongside the Alligator Alley trail was completely smothered in a blanket of pond lettuce.

The Sambar ( or Sambar Deer ) is Asia's largest deer species.
The hairless area on the lower throat is called "the sore spot", and is apparently unique to this deer species.

The African buffalo or Cape buffalo (Syncerus caffer) is a large Sub-Saharan African bovine. Syncerus caffer caffer, the Cape buffalo, is the typical subspecies found in South and East Africa. The adult buffalo's horns are its characteristic feature: they have fused bases, forming a continuous bone shield across the top of the head referred to as a "boss".
Cape Buffalo are suspected to kill around 200 people every year. They typically will charge and gore their victims and have been known to trample people as well. When you see Cape Buffalo roaming in Africa, they're usually not alone. Weighing in at over 1500 lbs, even most lions don't dare bother hunting this aggressive beast unless the lions are in a huge pride. – Wikipedia
Taken last September on my birthday (thanks Morgan!) from Bloedel Reserve not very far away from where I live in Bainbridge Island.
If you ever visit Washington State then you SHOULD visit this beautiful place.

Paracas National Reserve - Perù 20221118
The Paracas National Reserve is a Peruvian protected area that protects desert and marine ecosystems for their conservation and sustainable use. Within the reserve there are also archaeological remains of the Paracas culture.
The reserve is located in the region of Ica, 250 km south of Lima and a few kilometres from the city of Pisco. It covers an area of 335,000 hectares, 65% of which correspond to marine ecosystems. The maximum altitude of the reserve is 786 metres.[3]
The reserve includes coastal geographical elements such as: the Paracas Peninsula, Independencia Bay, San Gallán Island and Paracas Bay.

The Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is a Costa Rican reserve located along the Cordillera de Tilarán within the Puntarenas and Alajuela provinces. Named after the nearby town of Monteverde and founded in 1972, the Reserve consists of over 10,500 hectares of cloud forest. It draws roughly 70,000 visitors a year. The reserve consists of six life zones, 90% of which are virgin forest. A high biodiversity area, consisting of over 2,500 plant species (including the most orchid species in a single place), 100 species of mammals, 400 bird species, 120 reptilian and amphibian species, and thousands of insects, has drawn both scientists and tourists alike.

Dancersend Nature Reserve is a site of Special Scientific interest managed by BBOWT. One part of the Rothschild family estate the Reserve was established din 1939 in memory of Charles Rothschild who set up the Society for the promotion of Nature Reserves, regarded as the launch of the wildlife Trust movement in Britain. The soil at Dancersend ranges from acid to alkaline, ensuring a wide variety of flora and fauna.
The brown-hooded kingfisher (Halcyon albiventris) is a species of bird in the subfamily Halcyoninae, the tree kingfishers. It has a brown head and blackish and turquoise wings. It is found in Sub-Saharan Africa, living in woodland, scrubland, forest edges, and also suburban areas. This kingfisher is generally seen alone or in pairs. It usually forages on the ground, mainly feeding on insects, and also eating scorpions, reptiles, small birds, rodents and fishes. Eating snakes and lizards as long as 25 cm (9.8 in) has been reported.
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. It covers an area of 19,623 km2 in the provinces of Limpopo and Mpumalanga in northeastern South Africa, and extends 360 km from north to south and 65 km from east to west.

Higher, in the valley of Planica the creek which flows there soon disappears under gravel. Only here, near Rateče, where valley bottom is made of clay rests of an ancient lake, water comes out again - as crystal clear sources of Sava river. This small marsh land is protected as a natural reserve and arranged for tourist visit.
Paracas National Reserve - The Cathedral 20221118
The Cathedral was an imposing rock formation caused by sea erosion and wind throughout the centuries. Its concave shape was reminiscent of the domes of the cathedrals, and inside lived some marine cats or chingungos and seabirds. Considered a World Heritage Site, it was one of the natural images of Peru's most photographed and disseminated. Its structure collapsed during the earthquake of 8 degrees on the Richter scale August 15, 2007 that was centered city Pisco. The remains of this figure are among the Yumaque and Supay beaches.
