Yet, another antique store here in Wimberley..;) This one's been around for a while. If you're ever seen the show "Pickers" that's this place. It's just like they found it, without the dirt..;) Nothing's painted or shined up
It's 27deg. and two days ago it was 72 deg. We really didn't need to flip those numbers! I must say though, it is kind of pretty. Looking to get a foot of the white stuff, before all is said and done.
Yesterday I spend many hours on the beach. The sunset had been spectacular for many days now, and finally I was able to be there. There will be several pictures from this session in the days to come. This was one of the first pictures and the chopper and the ship made a great collection. Rescue at sea. , lighthouses and chopper... You get the picture:-)
A beautiful sunset at Jeløy in Moss, Norway. Even if I have been there before it is always something new to disvcover.

Nissa was born a feral cat. She had kittens at 8 months in the wild, then was rescued by the Animal Welfare Coaliton which specializes in rehabilitating ferals for human households - and they did a tremendous job. Nissa is a wonderful cat, and very happy to be an indoor mouser extraordinaire!
My newly rescued cat - I named her Carina which means cutie in Italian.
She was abandoned outside the shelter, and they figure she is 4 years old. She spent about 8 months in the shelter
So far already a companion ...
Happy Caturday - --- she thinks it is!

RNLI North Parade. Weymouth Lifeboat Station is one of the busiest Lifeboat stations on the south coast, undertaking around 100 ‘shouts’ a year, split equally between ‘Ernest and Mabel’ (Severn class Lifeboat) and ‘Phyl Clare III’ (Atlantic 75) covering 1330 square nautical miles.
It's been extremely windy here and I'm wondering if this is why I found this little fiery skimmer dragonfly struggling in our pool. They have such a mastery of the sky, but perhaps the wind we received was just too much. They are so fragile, one wonders how on earth they survive any breeze at all.
After this shot, I took it to a warm sandstone rock in the hopes it might dry out and recover. I had to go out for while, s I couldn't stay to see what happened - but it was gone when I returned home.

I met Robin on Saturday whilst walking in the Forest. I got chatting with his owner who told me Robin was a rescue from Romania and could be a little unpredictable. I said what a lucky dog he was to find a nice home and he told me Robin was indeed very lucky as the quota for the UK were already on the van and they let Robin on at the last minute. I won't go into detail but the ones left behind were not lucky at all.
I thought I could have another go at the Orion Nebula and the Horsehead Nebula as in the moring it is getting high enough to photograph over the roof in the bck yard. After getting my framing and starting a planned sequence it went wrong straight away as the targets started to move behind a satellite dish. And when I checked my shots later, everthing from the other camera was out of focus (must remember the Canon 300mm f2.8 shifts focus when the orientation is changed!) So I only had one useable 12 minute exposure from the D810A and 300mm lens. This is cropped for framing but also to remove the satellite dish! Yes, I know the bright part of Orion is overexposed, but I actually like this look.
This week has been perfect for working in my garden and finishing up little touches so I can just sit back and enjoy. I had one small corner that could use a bit more colour. So when I saw this hanging basket of Fuschia flowers at the grocery store that was almost completely dried out and on the verge of withering, I had to rescue it. I knew the Hummingbirds would love it. After 5 days, the plant has showered me with beautiful blooms and healthy leaves. Today, I had to take a few pictures. I underexposed it to keep the highlights from being too much on the waxy petals. I will try to do some next week using a polarizer.

Rescue Me
Song by Thirty Seconds to Mars
Lyrics
Whatever you do, don't ever play my game
Too many years being the king of pain
You gotta lose it all if you wanna take control
Sell yourself to save your soul
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me from the lovers in my life
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me, rescue me, rescue me
Rescue me
Whatever you do, don't ever lose your faith
The devil's quick to love, lust and pain
Better to say yes to never know, oh, oh
Sell yourself to save your soul
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me from the lovers in my life
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me, rescue me, rescue me
Rescue me
Sell yourself to save your soul, you gotta, oh, oh
Sell yourself to save your soul, you gotta, oh, oh
Sell yourself to save your soul, you gotta, oh, oh
Sell yourself to save your soul
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me from the lovers in my life
Rescue me from the demons in my mind
Rescue me, rescue me, rescue me
Rescue me, oh, oh
Rescue me, oh, oh
Rescue me, oh, oh
Rescue me, rescue me, rescue me
Rescue 3 was a medium tug, mainly used near space stations. It was equipped with a pair of extendable magnetic clamps. The tug's colour scheme indicated its emergency role.

When I built my hydrogen tanker for SHIPtember, I trialled some hexagonal shapes. Unfortunately, I didn't have of enough bricks to make it over 100 studs long. This ship is only 42 studs long and doesn't require an internal frame for strength, like a SHIP might do.
There are more images and a video of the magnetic clamps' pantograph mechanism on Instagram.
