In March WINGS team was in Chimaltenango to provide a surgical permanent procedure to 9 mothers who decided not to have more children. Our patients were very happy with the service they received and grateful for having an option to decide on whether they wanted to have more children or not. Some mothers are only 25-26 years old and already have 4-5 children - they know that by deciding not to have any more, they will be able to provide for the children they already have, give them education and proper nutrition and take care of their future.

To reach and penetrate the oocyte, spermatozoa should possess progressive motility. Therefore, motility is an important parameter during both natural and assisted conception. The global trend of progressive reduction in the number and motility of healthy spermatozoa in the ejaculate is associated with increased risk of infertility.
