Rigorous evaluations identify the successes, failures, and gaps in a given project, accumulating lessons learned that hopefully lead to more effective programming. Breaking new ground through their small-scale, community-based, and multi-sectoral approach, population, health, and environment (PHE) programs require a rethinking of traditional evaluation methods. The event took place at the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) World Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
