Northamptonshire should be known as the Wind Farm of the UK (well my part of Northamptonshire)... this is a image of 300ft Turbines from the Winwick farm rising above the fog from the valley below

Finding Yourself

by Theresa Ann Moore

Of all the people that you may know

There is one who remains an embryo

You will never meet them face to face

Because you are standing in their place

When you stop to think... you will seek

Asking yourself, what makes you unique

As life passes through a continuing turnstile

Identity changes like the shadow of a sundial

When you are asked to describe your being

It is difficult to pinpoint what you are seeing

You see yourself in the eyes of those who look

Scanning their notes in an observation book…

No two chapters will be exactly the same

Each person sees you in a different frame

All that you can find of yourself is a reflection...

A variety of appraisals derived by connection

Within a searching mind, your vision is vast

Someone inside is waiting to be released at last

Finally there is an emergence of your worth

Find your significant self... then experience birth

Another peek at the Pawnee Buttes - this time with a look at wind development that has moved into the area - while you may know from my previous posts that I am a big fan of renewable energy and spend a lot of my time trying to advance these sectors. But I am torn about where it should be sited and think that ultimately conflicts over land use could slow these sectors. You can read more about this in an article I wrote for TNC magazine: www.nature.org/en-us/magazine/magazine-articles/energy-sp...

Actually very warm on the east coast this morning. The blizzard that wiped out half the country came down as rain here. So this goes out to all the snow shovelers. I am sure Mother Nature will get around to us very shortly.

Anyhoo, more leftovers and outtakes for the photostream. Maybe I'll get Charlie out for a walk before the temperature plunges 50 degrees this afternoon.

I hope all have a fine Friday.

High on the hills above the south coast of Wellington, New Zealand. The West Wind wind farm with 62 turbines shares the hills with sheep on the 13,000 acre Terawhiti Sheep Station. The wind farm generates enough electricity to power the equivalent of 73,000 homes.

I used some lo fi processing for this shot, which I took back in October 2021. South Lynn Windfarm is located just offshore from Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast. I shot this image from the nature reserve at Gibraltar Point, which is a place I highly recommend if you love wide open vistas and watching seabirds and migratory birds.

Newly planted corn rows lead the eyes to wind turbines scattered throughout the landscape.

I was waiting for a large crude oil tanker to arrive but it never came, probably show later when it's dark so I took the Sunset while I was there, hate to go home without firing off a shot, button happy I am.

…ves allí, amigo Sancho Panza, donde se descubren treinta o pocos más desaforados gigantes, con quien pienso hacer batalla y quitarles a todos las vidas…

The sky and clouds were impressive and I thought together with the wind turbines would it be a nice contrast. Hope you like it ;-).

Wish you all a sunny and relaxing weekend!
