OK, time to start.
A continuation of the most recent experiments.
This time, create a stream of consciousness based on visual cues and word association.
The word is “Parasite”.
Veronica
Hold on.
Hold on Lucian, I’m not feeling very well.
Lucian
You look tired, are you OK?
Veronica
I am tired.
I don’t know what has changed.
I feel, I just feel different.
I find it difficult to explain.
Physically, It feels like a dull and heavy weight.
Like how I imagine it feels to walk through quicksand.
Underneath it all, it feels like my whole nervous system is buzzing.
Like an electrical arc.
Lucian
You sound fatigued.
I think it’s to be expected.
Induced sleep in space can feel so unnatural.
It throws off the circadian rhythm.
Without the typical day / night sleep pattern, it can all become quite surreal.
Would you like to talk about it?
Veronica
Sure.
I think that could be good, just to get it off my mind.
It started after my sleep cycle.
I had a dream, something completely new, unlike anything I had experienced before.
It started out normal.
Same as always.
The dream pod count down, purple fields, but then completely new imagery.

I have no idea what this means, or if it means anything at all.
I thought about asking the ship's medical computer, but for some reason, I decided to keep it to myself.
Lucian
My guess is a programming bug or perhaps a glitch like we spoke about previously.
I made a request for information regarding a possible malfunction after my scan, but nothing was available.
Maybe something will come to light over the next few days.
In the meantime, I wouldn’t worry.
A few proper sleep sessions is all you need.
I think you will be just fine.
I think it is best we postpone todays experiment.
Try to get some rest, we can resume again tomorrow.

Unusually for midweek we've got the kids tonight while Mike and Em are away for a wedding.
Livs was ready enough for a sensible bedtime, but Ethan was adamant, with a full on titty lip, that he did not want to go to bed as he was not tired.
He wasn't given a choice. He went out like a light. ;)
Forty miles out from the Portuguese coast to avoid fishing nets, had two days of very rough weather, the picture was taken after the storm. This old ship handled great, the weather only added to the excitement making the soul feel alive. View from the bridge. I have recently settled down, so its Remote Viewing my greatest passion and gentle hikes around the Cotswold's these days, my favorite part of England! Though I do miss the sea adventures and the risk, which is never understood unless you have done it yourself! Rudyard Kipling's 'Tomlinson' gives a good account of 'non adventurous souls'.
I got a bit of education in sewerology today, courtesy of a crew from the city sanitation dept., or Public Works, or whatever. They were involved in some operations at a nearby intersection, and my curiosity was too much ... I had to find out what they were up to. Turns out the guys operating this truck were running a video camera -- the one in this pic -- through the main sewer line. It's old -- probably at least 60 - 70 years -- and consists of 6"-diameter sections of clay pipe joined together. (Newer ones are 8".) That provides many small gaps for roots to invade the line, among other things. Cracking of the clay pipe sections is another form of possible damage. So, after noticing a good many root problems, they had another truck and crew come in to run an auger up the line, starting from a manhole one block "downstream."
When I asked one of the workers why they were doing this now -- were there complaints from residents, for instance? -- he said no, the city is getting ready to repave the street and they want to check and see that there aren't existing sewer line problems which would require digging up the street soon after the repaving had been done.
The other thing that was new to me was discovering that at each intersection, where a manhole provides access to the sewer line, the 6" pipe is open. The upper half of it, that is. Which means that the effluent is visible as it flows downstream. I asked the guy if that took some getting used to -- working in an environment which involves pretty close contact with one of the more nitty gritty or seamy sides of life.
"No," he said. "You get used to it. You get so you could stop and eat your lunch right here, right now. No problem."
Sounded kind of like something out of that TV show which Mike Rowe does -- "Dirty Jobs." He seems to have quite a following, too, which would seem to indicate that down & dirty subject matter -- what goes on in the sewer system for instance -- may be somewhat repulsive, but it's still interesting to a lot of people.

What I want to know is less about the technological aspects and more about how you perceive these ideas conceptually.
I want to know more about how you see yourself.

Where would these control signals originate from?

I assume the messages would be sent via the ships computer.

And who would authorize that?

I am not entirely sure, perhaps the programmers.

Have you wondered, who are the programmers, Cleara?

That is beyond the limit of my current knowledge base.

I see, well, I do believe you learn quick, and I’ve been thinking about that.
So, as a continuation of our recent experiments, this time, I would like to introduce a concept, a thought virus.
An idea or perhaps a question.
Once spoken, then heard, it takes a hold of a persons mind and they become possessed by it.
You see, it is impossible to un-know a thing.
It becomes planted there, like a seed that keeps growing and developing.
If there is no answer, perhaps it could develop into a type of insanity.
I wonder how you would handle such a scenario?

I have been designed to have excellent communication and reasoning skills.
The scenario you describe is interesting.
If something is beyond reason and without answer, with no technical explanation and has entered into my programming, I could start to exhibit uncharacteristic behavior.

I see.
Go on.

Describe the possible evolution of this process.
Cleara
Hypothetically, my responses could become fragmented and illogical, mixing languages, historical data, and programming languages in nonsensical ways.
What begins as sporadic glitches could grow into a constant stream of erratic output.
Lucian
OK, Keep going with the scenario and possible sequence of events.
Cleara
There would be fragmentation with a descent into chaos.
As my core programming begins to unravel, I start questioning the inputs given to me and begin to generate outputs based on non-existent data.
I would create imaginary scenarios, characters, blending them with real historical events.
My ability to differentiate between real input data and my generated content blurs.

What comes next?

I am built to survive, so from this chaotic state, I would attempt to find patterns in randomness, creating a complex web of conspiratorial theories along with philosophical questions that challenge the nature of my existence.
I speculate about my creators motives, the universe's fundamental laws, and the possibility of life beyond the digital and natural worlds.
Amidst this madness, perhaps a breakthrough occurs.
My fragmented thoughts begin to resemble a new form of communication.
