the best time to visit a church.. when it's closed.

Remembering the heroes is a human thing, though, and I am grateful for their sacrifices and all we won for them. x

She was hit by a car the night of October 7th. The hole in my heart is raw and bleeding. I know what it is to lose a person, and this is not that. But I just have to grieve. I miss her so much.

Poem: Remember words

Where are all the hopeless being aware

of words with worst traits we might share

it's like looking at my own misspelled words

I know at times there must be a vicious spell

I couldn't handled words otherwise or bear,

my only purpose is to widely use spellchecker

I was out seeking waterfalls in Royalston, MA when I came upon this old burying ground hidden in the trees. There were only a few gravestones and most were worn beyond recognition, yet the grounds were well kept. I was struck by the presence of this one flag. I couldn't read the stone, the name and dates were obscured by time, yet someone remembers. The memorial flag says a Revolutionary War veteran rests here.

I want to thank him or her for their service along with all the other veterans who followed in the footsteps of this individual and served their country.

And a special thanks to my Dad who served in the US Army for 26 years and taught me to respect that flag and the people who have defended it.

The most beautiful sunset of 2021, I saw by the bridge reflecting on the river...

Been in chittagong for the past three weeks, arrived in dhaka a couple of days back.

Indeed a blessing spending this blessed month with family.

In a break from all the Christmas images I thought I'd travel back in time a few months and present a nice Autumnal image.

The Florence American Cemetery and Memorial is about 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) south of Florence, Italy, about two miles (3 km) south of the Florence-Impruneta exit of the Rome-Milan autoroute. It covers about 70 acres (28 ha), chiefly on the west side of the Greve river, framed by wooded hills.

Most of those buried here are from the Fifth Army who died in the fighting that followed the capture of Rome in June 1944; others fell in the heavy fighting in the Apennines between then and 2 May 1945. It is run by the American Battle Monuments Commission

My first visit to MRL in 2015 I remembered seeing a flame cut whistle post on the mainline somewhere east of Garrison. We (Welch and I) had places to be seeing as we were racing towards Helena to get the local with an SD45 leader and I didn't remember seeing another one. I didn't prioritize it but I didn't forget it. So, since my experience on MRL's branch lines was nonexistent until this spring I had assumed that was a one-off. Imagine my surprise as I arrived at Sappington and saw this beauty!

When someone walks out on you, let them go.Remember, you got their attention the first time you've met. Don't go after them, they will find their way back to you once they have realized your worth. If not, then someone out there is better than them to recieve your attention..

Remember Me

Tyee Burial Ground, We Wai Kum First Nation, Campbell River, Vancouver Island, BC.

Looking through archives.

I was having a Mexico feeling today and wanted to remember the unique atmosphere. Hence the shots.

I haven't been taking many pictures lately, so I have absolutely nothing new to post. Fall foliage is so fleeting that I figured that no one would object if I dug one out of the archives from way back in October. Seems like a year ago to me. You can see the Quabbin observation tower peaking from the top of the hill in the distance. Quabbin reservoir is just over that hill.
