Remake photos on Flickr

I've always been fascinated by this painting since watching the Thomas Crowne Affair with Rene Russo Pierce Brosnan. It's mystery and ambiguity offer your imagination a lot to play with. Magritte never offers an explanation for the painting, but often encouraged viewers to draw conclusions from their own lives.

My version is inspired from the perspective of surfing. My figure is female for contrast and a costa rican style hat. There is a box of surf wax covering the face and I wanted to use an actual brand of surf wax for more contrast. I am thinking of using mixed media, photoshop, and procreate.
