“little” things make highly sensitive people happy — because they add up to “big” things.

“If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive.”

– Eleonora Duse –

“Little things seem nothing, but they give peace, like those meadow flowers which individually seem odorless but all together perfume the air.“

– Georges Bernanos –

Oh maker of the sand and sea, how wonderful you also made me. I come in gratitude and enjoy your sandy shores. To dwell in gloom and misery no more.

I am on the outskirts of the oncoming hurricane Irma. There may be possible power outages. Thoughts and prayers are highly appreciated for the state of Florida.

Because of the power outages, I may not be able to respond for a few days to your wonderful and kind comments.

Thank you for your patience. Happy Sunday Flickr Friends!

A Spring explosion is occuring in the South. The Azaleas are always a beautiful and colorful treat. They represent a great way to celebrate life and living. Last year at this time, I walked in a sea of various Azleas and got this triple in camera photo at the Maclay Gardens State Park in Tallahassee, FL.

Thank you all for your kind favs and comments.

Happy Sunday!

"Out in the woods stood such a nice little Pine Tree: he had a good place; the sun could get at him; there was fresh air enough; and round him grew many big comrades, both pines and firs. But the little Pine wanted so very much to be a grown-up tree."

for poul1955 with many thanks for your wonderful comments, insights, visits and for thinking that I am an alien! LOL.

Hard to believe, this is my first cityscape ever! I know I could have done way better, but this was the last day of our trip to Ireland and I was really exhausted and tired. That day we were driving a couple hundred miles , had a little car accident and I was feeling more like hiding in the woods than exploring Dublin. Considering these circumstances I´m even a bit surprised the shot turned out as it did.

Happy Thursday folks!

Paul and James both say that we should rejoice in our trials because of their beneficial results. It is not the adversity considered in itself that is to be the ground of our joy. Rather, it is the expectation of the results, the development of our character that should cause us to rejoice in adversity. God does not ask us to rejoice because we have lost our job, or a loved one has been stricken with cancer, or a child has been born with an incurable birth defect. But He does tell us to rejoice because we believe He is in control of those circumstances and is at work through them for our ultimate good. - Jerry Bridges

There comes a time in life, when you have to let go of all the pointless drama and the people who create it..and surround yrself with those; who make you laugh so hard that you forget all the bad and focus on the good. After all life is too short to be anything but happy! :)

I got this text from a cousin some days back and I thought i'd put it here.

Reminds me of someone sweet! :)

My father and I stood trackside discussing . . . would this be the day? We heard through the grapevine that Rio Grande F9A No. 5771's rebuild and repaint were complete. She came out of Spanish Fork Canyon dressed in glossy Aspen Gold and silver Imron paint, drumming to the beat of a freshly rebuilt prime mover. Our baby was back, and taking her first journey from Denver to Salt Lake City on June 30, 1979.

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ”

― Norman Vincent Peale

“And when we give each other Christmas gifts in His name,

let us remember that He has given us the sun and the moon and the stars,

and the earth with its forests and mountains and oceans--

and all that lives and move upon them.

He has given us all green things and everything that blossoms and bears fruit

and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused--

and to save us from our foolishness, from all our sins,

He came down to earth and gave us Himself.”

― Sigrid Undset
