Chinatown, Oahu, Hawai'i
Hotel Street earned its name from the hotels established there in the late 1800s. During World War II, it became a prominent entertainment and red-light district, attracting large numbers of military personnel. -AI overview

Now with SIX BrickArms 4-shell 40mm Bofors Clips (and M60 of course)!
Vehicle is available NOW at Brickmania. As always, Brickmania kits are a limited run, so get it while you can!
Dan wanted Bofors shells, and Dan got Bofors shells. Loving the Duster redesign, and the shell racks are elegantly simple.
I actually redesigned the 3D model of the shells to allow them to be injection overmolded more efficiently. The yield is a bout 80%, which is way above the 50% I was getting before the redesign. I use ground-up LEGO pearl gold bricks (Shhhh!) so the color match is 100%. The shell warheads are olive.

I enjoy photographing dark alleys out of curiosity but rarely walk down one. Captured during an early morning on expired film from 12/2014.

The Who Live at Leeds 1970 1995 and 2017 such a classis.
Just did a comparison of the 1970 OG U.S. Gloversville Pressing vs The 2017 Europe 1/2 speed master and have to say the OG was much more dynamic with a much better high end than the 2017 reissue, remastered version. Not sure what source material was used during the remaster at Close to the Edge studio but if tape, it was 47 years old at the time. Glad I was able to find a clean OG!

More guitar pics, this is my Gibson Les Paul '59 VOS reissue, aka "R9". The finish is called "sunrise teaburst", and is intended to resemble the natural fading of the original cherry-burst guitars from 1959. Over time, the red stain gave way to shades or yellow, green, or brown. The metal parts(nickel plated) are lightly aged per Gibson Custom Shop's vintage original spec (VOS) process.
Pickups are by Seymour Duncan.
Lens is the FA150/2.8 on the 645Z. Single strobe using Priolite MX300.

Waipio, Oahu, Hawaii
This is my very first roll of 35mm film, which you can tell that I incorrectly exposed. I had fun but it was challenging on this high contrast scene. Maybe I should not have started with expired film from 09/1997, big smile.
Advice, suggestions, and comments are positively appreciated.

ENG: This ensemble of buildings is practically around the corner from me and yet I only became aware of it through Miss JuliSonne. Sometimes the interesting is so close.
The brick building was built in 1928 as a substation inside a closed apartment block. It was also used as such until the early 1990s. Today serves as a "creative forge" for print products and storage rooms.
