Casa del Mar, littéralement maison de la mer, est une forteresse bâtie sous l'ordre de l’explorateur écossais Donald MacKenzie en 1882, au large du Cap Juby (l'actuelle ville de Tarfaya) .La forteresse a été rachetée par le sultan Hassan Ier et offerte à la population locale pour mettre fin à la présence anglaise dans la région1.
Du fait de sa proximité de la mer, la Casa del Mar est menacé de disparition1. Ainsi, en 2014, un projet de restauration, d'aménagement et de mise en valeur est lancé par le ministère de la Culture .
Qubbet el-Hawa (la maison des vents en arabe), aussi appelée la « vallée des princes » est une colline rocheuse située sur la rive ouest du Nil, à environ 130 mètres d'altitude, en face d'Assouan. C'est la nécropole de dignitaires de la région1. Il y a de nombreuses tombes, dont celle de Hirkhouf. Datant de l'Ancien Empire, ces tombes fournissent des détails importants de la vie des hauts fonctionnaires. Il y a aussi des tombes des Moyen et Nouvel Empire.
Les tombes sont disposés sur trois rangées sur les pentes de Qubbet el-Hawa ; environ quatre-vingt ont été fouillés.
Sur la colline a été construit un monastère copte et quelques tombes ont été utilisés comme chapelles.

Here is a variety including closeups of the current active regions, massive prominence activity, whitelight full disc imaging and some Earth/Jupiter overlay for perspective. Clouds did come in before I could complete my detailed mosaic, however got a bunch of shots of the interesting areas so thats fairly satisfying for now! check out the story for wallpapers.

We are improving the long-term safety and lifespan of the St. Johns Bridge by repairing the concrete on the pier columns and arches under the bridge. Repairing the concrete will protect the bridge's steel internal frame and reinforcements from corrosion, maintaining the service life of this beloved Portland Historic Landmark.
