We just hit the 40 West heading towards Amarillo. We are almost to Texas and I haven't even had one red bull yet. Its muggy but with the window down and immediate tornado warnings surrounding us - its quite nice. The twister hit down just 75mi to the of North of us. Its moving NE right now so we should be OK.
Listened to the Refused"s 'The Shape of Punk to Come'. Has to be one of my top 5 albums of all time. It still has the same power it did when I first heard it and it still brings out the anger and social awareness it inspired over ten years ago. Mixed that with a little Boy Sets Fire and I was ready to go.

Outside of Friedrichstrasse station. The elderly lady selling some sort of shopping magazine absolutely refused to move so she has gained her 15 minutes of (Flickr) fame.
I came back later in the afternoon because I wanted a closer look at this sculptural group, especially the youngest child because he, like the smaller child in the "Life" group, clearly has no idea why any of this is happening, that is, both figures highlight the heinousness of the murder of innocents.
As to the magazine (Street Sweeper) she is selling, the German Wikipedia has an article on it; you'll need to hit the translate button. It's circulation has gone down somewhat in the last decade, but the basic idea was that homeless people could make a little bit of money by selling them; they get to keep about 55% of the cover price.
The organization that puts out the mag also runs a shelter, a housing unit, and a kitchen, so for them, the magazine was originally an innovative way to support people, who through no fault of their own, found themselves without accommodation. The magazine was hit very hard by COVID and now appears much less often than previously.
