The ground in this area was littered with everything caught in the nets that wasn't Bombay Duck. Dogs and birds were loving this, as you'd imagine.
It is sad to note that industries dump refuse and chemical waste into our water bodies which are the source of water to our rural folks.Illegal mining is very rampant in the eastern region of Ghana and Kibi is not an exception.Due to illegal mining activities,almost all the water bodies have been polluted while the environment has been destroyed making life unbearable for residents. The people tells us that they have lived two years without good drinking water.they rely solely on the Birim river which is the only river in the community.They sometimes have to spend huge sums of money on good water.Due to this ordeal the people pleaded with us to provide them with boreholes.
