My newest acquisition!! Wu-Hoo! I've wanted this for forever and was able to make a trade for a brand new one!! (Thank you soooo much Joy!!)

These are just quick shots of it, but I hope to take some awesome pics later this week!

I took this picture because I liked how refreshing the coke with the glass looked against the sunlight background. I took this picture inside I filled the glass with the coke and the ice. I then put it against the table and along the window. I bent down in order to get the focus and angle I wanted. I edited this at first in black and white but this made it loose some of the value from the coke I then adjusted the clarity. I also adjusted the exposure. This answers the question of How does the use of only natural light influence the composition and detail of a subject? By using natural light in the background and using a reflector to bounce light through the coke glass. I was forced to make this near a window in order to have the most sunlight but this worked out because it allowed me to get this angle on the can and glass. Medium for this is Digital Photograph and the size is 17.7X12.375 in.

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.

Spc. Justin Dolbeare, a combat medic of the Maine Army National Guard Medical Detachment instructs 1st Lt. Daniel Duarte, a medical administrator of the detachment to insert an IV as part of a field training exercise lane at the Bog Brook Training Site in Gilead, August 11-17, 2017. The Medical detachment conducted day and night land navigation in addition to a field training exercise lane at the training site in an effort to prepare Soldiers for the expert field medic badge test, a four-day event that any enlisted Army combat medic or Army medical officer can attend. it test Soldier's proficiency on basic Soldier skills like reacting to contact, radio communication and clearing a landing zone, as well as medic specific tasks such as extricating a casualty from a vehicle, assessing a casualty on the battlefield and loading the casualty into a tactical vehicle for evacuation.

The inspiration source for "Refreshes Without Filling" was a wall sign in the Seattle area. The Pepsi-Cola sign was painted over the 7up sign and the older sign was showing through the new paint. I've add the fire escape and the grocery sign and the window structures.

A hot day in Paris

Since a small dry spell, my lillies have been waiting for rain. Now they are blooming and radient.

Puccinos seem to be doing good trade as 387154 arrives with a Didcot Parkway to Paddington service.

We had a brief thunderstorm roll through last night. The tree peonies are now in bloom...it's as if they opened before my eyes. Hopefully, they'll hang on for a while. ahhhhh refreshh!

I moderated a Refresh Pittsburgh panel discussion last night on how to survive the recession as a web professional. It was tons of fun.

Twitter's @mrdirby took this snapshot.

In Teesside there are hundreds of creative businesses who can benefit from knowing each other. Many of the businesses are relatively small in size, focusing on a specific skill or service. Everyone can benefit from knowing other professionals in their own trades and networking with other professionals who offer skills and services they may require in the future.

Registration will be between 6 and 6.30pm. We will greet you and ensure you are registered. At 6.30pm there will be an introduction to the event with any announcements. After this, it’s up to you to get out of the event what you want.

There will be developers with their laptops out sharing code and working on problems. There will be freelance developers and designers looking to connect with agencies. There will be photographers looking to offer their services to others. There will be business owners who may be recruiting. Most importantly there will be creative people networking with their peers.

There will be light food, kindly provided by Capaldi’s, during the evening. The bar will be open. The event officially finishes at 9pm.

We look forward to seeing you there, if you have any questions then send us a tweet or an email.

I prefer this shot than the previous one.....refreshed after a shower!
