Japanese ceramic flowers, enameled flower with crystal, czech glass, citrine round gemstone, moonstones, phrenite round, gold plated leaves, seed beads.
I sewed all my components to form the focal, I don't glue them so you don't get the rigid stick-on feeling when looking at the piece. Esp love the little golden leaves on the top left corner, they are not fixed but rotate about, which add interest to the whole pendant.
Got my haircut...inspired me to capture the moment and try my hand at self portraits :*) It was fun!
This album contains a real mix of stuff. It starts with our first night in Bangkok and the view from our hotel looking out over the Chao Phraya (the river). The next morning we went to the Taling Chan floating market - it was ok but we expected more. We returned to Bangkok and took a water bus down the Chao Phraya to get a feel for the city. The water bus fare was about $0.45. We jumped off near the end of the line to get some food and ended up in some fascinating temple. Slightly refreshed we picked up another bus and headed back to the hotel. Heather took a nap and I decided to check out the local area. Good choice. I found some cool markets for the ladies and another temple which I had no idea was even there - it was behind high walls and I happened to notice a open gate behind some garbage cans. I walked around like I owned the place and no one said a word. Very good day but did I mention that Bangkok was incredible hot and muggy? I think the heat index was 115 degrees. Thank the gods for good cold beer!
I took these photos in Bangkok, Thailand, in April 2019.
The most immaculately kept coffee machine. We ducked into this 'bar' to get out of the rain in Amalfi, and had a necessary 'pit stop' espresso.
This opportunity came about totally by chance. I was busy supping my Bittburger in the sun when I noticed that the text from the Kronenbourg Blanc glass was being projected onto the beer.
I improved the contrast slightly using Lightroom and added an Overlay layer using Photoshop.
In Teesside there are hundreds of creative businesses who can benefit from knowing each other. Many of the businesses are relatively small in size, focusing on a specific skill or service. Everyone can benefit from knowing other professionals in their own trades and networking with other professionals who offer skills and services they may require in the future.
Registration will be between 6 and 6.30pm. We will greet you and ensure you are registered. At 6.30pm there will be an introduction to the event with any announcements. After this, it’s up to you to get out of the event what you want.
There will be developers with their laptops out sharing code and working on problems. There will be freelance developers and designers looking to connect with agencies. There will be photographers looking to offer their services to others. There will be business owners who may be recruiting. Most importantly there will be creative people networking with their peers.
There will be light food, kindly provided by Capaldi’s, during the evening. The bar will be open. The event officially finishes at 9pm.
We look forward to seeing you there, if you have any questions then send us a tweet or an email.
Inspired by a YouTube turorial. Not satisfied with the result, this is actually a really simple picture, made it in about 10 minutes.
OK ... enough sunsets, now back to the real world and continuing my series shot on James Street N in Hamilton.
Corner of King & James in Hamilton. The park is busy with people looking to beat the heat.
Caught this little girl splashing in the fountain while her Mom who stopped for a smoke.
Shot at f16 @ 1/500 and 200 iso. The meter was telling me it was underexposed but is was very bright out there and I like the contrast I got out of this shot.
Used my Nikon FTN with Nikkor 50 mm f2.0 lens for this shot.
