Floral Spray Paint - Design Master - helped to refreshed a real wreath on the front door that began to dry & turn brown from the unseasonably warm temps this winter -- Lynda Quintero-Davids
Here's my photo for 07/07/07. This is the bud of an American Lotus flower, it's a little larger than my fist (and I have large hands), and was about two feet (60cm) above the water at the edge of the lake among a stand of grasses.
The water droplets are from rain, not dew. We've been having a terrible drought, so the rain has been very welcome.

Got my haircut...inspired me to capture the moment and try my hand at self portraits :*) It was fun!
This opportunity came about totally by chance. I was busy supping my Bittburger in the sun when I noticed that the text from the Kronenbourg Blanc glass was being projected onto the beer.
I improved the contrast slightly using Lightroom and added an Overlay layer using Photoshop.
In Teesside there are hundreds of creative businesses who can benefit from knowing each other. Many of the businesses are relatively small in size, focusing on a specific skill or service. Everyone can benefit from knowing other professionals in their own trades and networking with other professionals who offer skills and services they may require in the future.
Registration will be between 6 and 6.30pm. We will greet you and ensure you are registered. At 6.30pm there will be an introduction to the event with any announcements. After this, it’s up to you to get out of the event what you want.
There will be developers with their laptops out sharing code and working on problems. There will be freelance developers and designers looking to connect with agencies. There will be photographers looking to offer their services to others. There will be business owners who may be recruiting. Most importantly there will be creative people networking with their peers.
There will be light food, kindly provided by Capaldi’s, during the evening. The bar will be open. The event officially finishes at 9pm.
We look forward to seeing you there, if you have any questions then send us a tweet or an email.
Inspired by a YouTube turorial. Not satisfied with the result, this is actually a really simple picture, made it in about 10 minutes.
We're Here! looking for Cafes, Coffee Houses, Burger Joints, Food Carts I found the Refresh Cafe at closing time...

Hi everyone! I'm actually starting to train for a fun run in August called the City 2 Surf which is the world's largest running event held in Sydney. After a short training session, I had the chance to take a photo of something that I wanted to do for a while and finally I had the chance to do this today.
Three flashes were used to get this look. There was one directly behind me on a stand, a flash behind me to my left a bit high up facing towards me and one more flash on the floor to my right facing up at my body (I forgot to bring another stand for this flash). The camera was set up on a tripod, pre-focused and was triggered using a remote control. Thanks to Marione for helping me with the focusing since it was really dark. The flashes were triggered through the pop-up flash on my camera. It took over fifty shots to get the right photo with the right lighting and it was freezing while doing this since I was squirting myself with water but it was worth it in the end.
Gear used:
- Sony a350 with Carl Zeiss 24-70mm lens attached
- three flashes (HVL-F58AM, HVL-F43AM, HVL-F42AM)
- two light stands with Manfrotto 026
- remote cable
- tripod
