I only live 5 mins away from the heather moors of the South Pennines and, as it snowed yesterday, I thought I would try to grab a few shots of some Red Grouse today. I always think they look awesome in the snow.

red seats repeated... I liked the way the light was hitting the tops of the seats. A 13 second exposure at f/9 w/ISO 200, was a fun setting.

Set Desc: Photographs of The Ohio Theater in Columbus Ohio, which was the subject of the a recent Columbus Flickr Meet, with over 40 Flickr folks from the Central Ohio area converging to hang out, and photograph this beautiful theater.

I wasn't going to upload another shot from that flowery set, but as I had some time to kill, I started playing around with them and ended up with this one... I loved how it turned out and thought I'd share ;D

Big smiles everyone :)))

Have a Nice Sunday , my Friends ...

Red Hills Ranch is located near Kelly, Wyoming. The Grand Tetons are at my back and about 15 miles away. It is magnificent country. You need to go down a long rugged dirt road so you need an SUV but it is worth it to see this fabulous area near Jackson Hole. (Edited in Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz)

Thank you all my Friends for your visits, faves, invites and wonderful comments .

Don't know the name, but it's sure that Blijdorp Zoo has some beautiful flora as well

These leaves were just so pretty there ... captured at the Botanical Gardens there along the coast of Maine.

This was another shot I did for the Macro Mondays red theme.

Thanks for viewing!

Another tiny hairy flower that we'll see in lawns, along roads, gardens and meadows since the beginning of Spring.

Red Dead-Nettle (Lamium purpureum) is often referred to as purple deadnettle or purple archangel. The “purple” comes from the flower color, whereas the “red” comes from the color of the upper leaves. (Best in Large 🔍)

Thank you very much for the kind comments and faves, much appreciated! Happy weekend! 🙋‍♀️

When you think of the Netherlands, it is easy to picture never-ending fields of brightly coloured flowers. Many of the country’s most famous artists have portrayed the flower fields of the Netherlands in their work, and these fields are just as spectacular when they are seen in real life. However, these flower fields are more than just aesthetically beautiful: they are also economically important to the country. A significant proportion of the country’s agricultural exports are derived from the sale of freshly cut flowers, bulbs and mature plants, and the Netherlands contributions to the flower industry are so significant that they make up around two-thirds of the world’s total flora sales and completely dominate the European marketplace. Thanks to highly efficient supply chains, it is actually possible to buy flowers in New York which were freshly cut in the Netherlands that morning!

Here's a "tasty" image for you today of some Red Vines. No, not the candy, I'm afraid. These vines love to grow along chainlink fences, but create the most delightful subjects come autumn. It's not just the brilliant red color (though that helps), but also the great contrast of the dark fence that creates a great amount of contrast. Though the focus system of the 5D Mark IV doesn't seem radically different on paper, it is actually vastly improved in every area, and it's a treat to finally have DPAF on a full frame body. This image was featured in Flickr's Explore at position 17

Technical Information: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + Tamron SP 85mm f/1.8 VC, Processed in Adobe Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and Alien Skin Exposure X (use code "dustinabbott" to get 10% off)

My third annual attempt to capture a fuchsia.

This is getting closer to where I wanted to be with this subject. It's still not exactly what I wanted, but maybe I'll get another chance this year :). The colors of this flower are so vivid and the curves of the shape are so delicate that it's worth the extra effort.

As with many of my flower macros, this was shot on a light table and was illuminated from behind.

This photo is a depth stack of 6 separate images, each of which focuses at a slightly different distance. I was shooting at f/32 to get maximum depth of field, but even then, when the nearest element was in focus, the farthest was out of focus and vice versa. The solution is to shoot multiple images at different focal lengths and then composite them in a Photoshop depth stack.

Congratulations on placing second in your challenge. You may place this photo in the Second Chance Challenge. Good luck with your next challenge.Flickr Challenge Group!
