Part of a 10 m high spiral staircase in oak from Gauthier Oushoorn (Belgian artist).
He has a profound interest in the definition of space. Architecture is his recurring frame of reference, while his training in craftsmanship acts both as a tool and an obstruction. Through sculptural means he explores the elements for creating space, which he simultaneously uses as a functional tool for the realized work.
The stairs obey to mathematical laws which replace the ego of the artist, as in Islamic art.
(was part of Krasj, a 2 yearly art trail, which brings several modern artists together in several locations, spread over the city).
Many authors used Dahlia in name , non more effectively than P G Wodehouse. Dahlia Travers (née Wooster) is a recurring fictional character in the Jeeves stories of English comic writer P. G. Wodehouse
“This was not Aunt Dahlia, my good and kindly aunt, but my Aunt Agatha, the one who chews broken bottles and kills rats with her teeth. Wears barbed wire next to her skin And is supposed to turn into a werewolf on a full moon night ”
Dahlia Travers (née Wooster) is a recurring fictional character in the Jeeves stories of English comic writer P. G. Wodehouse, being best known as Bertie Wooster's bonhomous, red-faced Aunt Dahlia. She is much beloved by her nephew, in contrast with her sister, Bertie's Aunt Agatha.

My husband waiting for me to finish taking photos. He has a lot of patience when it comes to that - thankfully, because it's a recurring theme when we are out and about...
Photo from our trip to Malta and Valletta.
The Christmas decorations might be a little out of season now (it wasn't back then), but it is a suitable shot considering it's his birthday today!
From clear to blur, a recurring pattern and reflections on a bright sunny day, the sea artistry of soft waves does it all
The sixteenth-century wing overlooks via della Mercanzia, with the façade entirely covered with frescoes by Raimondo Sirotti that follow those made at the beginning of the twentieth century by Ludovico Pogliaghi, who in turn had rebuilt, reinterpreting them, the original ones of the Tavarone.
The painted decoration of the facade reproduces a marble cladding with ashlar on the ground floor and pilasters that divide the façade into three sections. In the center of the façade, above the imposing marble entrance portal, stands the polychrome figure depicting St. George on horseback killing the dragon, a recurring image in numerous portals of the buildings of the historic center: in the Middle Ages the saint was in fact considered the very symbol of Republic. The subject was freely interpreted by Sirotti in 1990, having disappeared all traces of the seventeenth-century original. On the sides, from left to right, six bronze statues are painted inside false niches, depicting some historical figures of the Republic: the annalist Caffaro, the "Prince" Andrea Doria, the doge Simone Boccanegra (according to some the painting would instead depict the founder of the palace, Guglielmo Boccanegra), the crusader leader Guglielmo Embriaco known as "Head of a mallet", the navigator Christopher Columbus and finally the admiral Benedetto Zaccaria.
The decoration is completed by the figures of Janus and Neptune, also in fake bronze, and the coat of arms of the "Conservatori del Mare", the body in charge of governing the port at the time of the Republic of Genoa. The facade culminates with the clock tower.
Dotted along the coastal shores of France are countless wooden fishing huts which have been built on stilts. Their main implement is a square-shaped pulley-operated net (or “filet carré”) which has given the humble shacks their name: “carrelets”.
The recurring characteristics of carrelets are that they are sometimes elaborate and often colourful structures which can be reached via invariably precarious walkways. They may appear somewhat flimsy but each carrelet has to meet stringent norms and construction
Dobie and I decided to go on a skateboarding adventure in the forest this evening, and we had a grand time wandering about, so much so that we completely lost track of the time. It seemed quicker than two shakes of a raven's tailfeather that dusk was upon us, and we had scampered so far into the woods that we were lost. Getting lost is a recurring theme for me, and yes, it happens in all lives: I have a really bad sense of direction. And on top of that, in SL, I have exceptionally poor navigational skills! So, full disclosure, I didn't actually do any skateboarding. And honestly, the terrain was not really ideal for it even if I was a super skater guru!
Fortunately for us, we happened upon this adorable and very friendly crow, and he kindly told us that we were going in the wrong direction (big surprise, right?!) and set us on the right path. Soon enough we were home again with another adventure to add to our memory album!
Happy, safe weekend, everyone! ♥
""Absurdism and humor are a recurring theme in Robin Rhode's work. Art is a way for him to decode real life experiences. This work is based on the story of his neighbor, who one morning found his car on bricks.
In this drawing intervention Robin Rhode plays with the second and third dimensionality. At the same time, he also questions the idea of ownership by appropriating or perhaps 'stealing back' a story or deed.""
info - flyer exhibition Robin Rhode, Voorlinden
I also found a video, where you can see the making of this artwork. The drawing takes him only 50 seconds! Enjoy.
Happy weekend ahead ;-))

~~A big part of this work is gone. The White Cat, a party location in the neighbourhood, wanted a mural. Jamz painted a white cat with a speech bubble saying 'ssssshhhht Respect The Neighbours'.
'Jamz' has worked under various aliases such as 'Jamezon' and 'Jeremiah'. His oeuvre has a futuristic character. Recurring elements in his work include overconsumption, technology and science versus nature.

This time when I arrived, parking was even more of a problem. Even the "illegal spot" (close to fire hydrant) was taken up by two cars! I had to improvise and just go in there for a few minutes to take my photos. I would have liked to spend some more time. Next time hopefully.
I guess this is my "recurring photo" :) Iconic lighthouse.
Lilium martagon (Liliaceae) 184 22
Lilium martagon (martagon lily or Turk's cap lily) is a Eurasian species of lily (Liliaceae family).
It is native to the whole of Europe (except for the British Isles and northern Europe), the Caucasus, West-Siberia, East Siberia and North Mongolia. It is naturalized in the British Isles and Northern Europe.
This plant reaches heights of 90 to 200 centimeters and produces racemes of nodding, pink recurred flowers from June to July.
" This life seems like a paradox we live throughout our own thoguhts, this world, the touch, the love we see and feel, is it even all real? One day when i lay through my flower bed, am i in a matrix of never ending dreams, from horror and love to all things that seem real when i lay my head to sleep? Dreams are recurring but so is this life, so tell me this now are we in a dream when we open our eyes, or do we just dream when we close our eyes? "
Rest hope you all enjoy amsy work as always ^^

Heath or heathland is a shrubland habitat found on mainly infertile acidic soils, characterised by open, low growing woody vegetation, often dominated by plants of the Ericaceae. It is similar to moorland, but is generally warmer and drier.
Heaths are widespread worldwide. They form extensive and highly diverse communities across Australia in humid and sub-humid areas. Fire regimes with recurring burning are required for the maintenance of the heathlands. Even more diverse though less widespread heath communities occur in Southern Africa. Extensive heath communities can also be found in California, New Caledonia, central Chile and along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. In addition to these extensive heath areas, the vegetation type is also found in scattered locations across all continents, except Antarctica.
Cornelius Coot is the founder of the city of Duckburg, and a historical hero to the residents of Duckburg.
The Cornelius Coot statue first appeared in the Donald Duck comic Statuesque Spendthrifts (1952) by Carl Barks. Here, Scrooge and the rich Maharajah of Howduyustan compete at building the largest statue of Duckburg's founder, eventually leading to Duckburg being filled with gigantic statues of its founder. Barks re-used Coot's statue in Statues of Limitations (1957) and The Day Duckburg Got Dyed (1957). Afterwards, Coot's statues became a recurring location in the stories, and can be spotted in many comics taking place in Duckburg.
In a later story by Don Rosa, Cornelius was said to be the grandfather of Grandma Duck, which would make him Donald Duck's great-great-grandfather. However, Coot was not related to Donald in Barks' original stories.

I am now in the final part of the route towards the top of the island (Obzova, 569m asl), but more than this, which is somewhat lost in this environment as rough on the surface as it is softly undulating due to the morphology of a limestone worked in depth by prehistoric rains, it will be the activity of the sky that takes place.
The approach of a nucleus of cold air, the third of spring, and the contemporary setting of the sun, will favor what has been said.
All the photos are panoramic and taken by hand (with unexpected precision...the clippings of the individual panoramas resulting from the union of 3 to 7 photos were minimal or nil) even in low light, this to reduce the time given that putting everytimes tripod looking for the perfect horizon on sloping and stony ground would have cost a lot in terms of time.
Despite everything, in order not to lose the best lights, I did part of the return journey in the dark with the headlamp that I hadn't forgotten in the car, but, fortunately, just outside the recurring stony mosaic area with a barely visible path.
THANK YOU all, I know I have to thank and respond to many of my friends and I will next week, hugs to all of you!
Lunar Bird (1966)
This large bronze statue was first designed by Joan Miró in the 1940s but cast in its final version, after having been enlarged somewhat, in 1966. At this time Miró had become fascinated with cosmic themes and the relationship betwee the earth and sky. Birds had also become a recurring theme in his work, no doubt perceived as a connection between the celestial and terrestrial. Today a version of the statue can be found in the Jardines de Sabatini in Madrid, as well as by the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC.
"Joan Miró i Ferrà (/mɪˈroʊ/ mi-ROH,[1] US also /miːˈroʊ/ mee-ROH,[2][3] Catalan: [ʒuˈam miˈɾoj fəˈra]; 20 April 1893 – 25 December 1983) was a Spanish painter, sculptor and ceramicist born in Barcelona. He was known as Joan Miró in the art recognition. A museum dedicated to his work, the Fundació Joan Miró, was established in his native city of Barcelona in 1975, and another, the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró, was established in his adoptive city of Palma in 1981.
Joan Miro, earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism but with a personal style, sometimes also veering into Fauvism and Expressionism.[4] He was notable for his interest in the unconscious or the subconscious mind, reflected in his re-creation of the childlike. His difficult-to-classify works also had a manifestation of Catalan pride. In numerous interviews dating from the 1930s onwards, Miró expressed contempt for conventional painting methods as a way of supporting bourgeois society, and declared an "assassination of painting" in favour of upsetting the visual elements of established painting.[5]
I just love these cool graffiti artwork dudes, for what they do and make in their artwork to bring home to us all. And this wall mural really depicts the scene and crisis of what the evil COVID-19 Virus is doing to us!
This is just a small part, that I have captured from this big wall mural, which by the way, is a full colourful that was done by the artist. - But I have dramatised it, to bring out the menacing evil of this savage Virus, that stills plagues and hunting us today, in which we hear of second outbreaks of Spikes that are now recurring in many countries around us!
So, please stay vigilant and take great care, my dear good flickr friends !!!

"The man who lives in his eyes is continually confronted with scenes and spectacles that compel his attention or admiration and demand an adequate reaction. To pass on without pause is impossible and to continue after purely mental applause is unsatisfying: some real tribute must be paid. Photography, to many of its addicts, is a convenient and simple means of discharging these ever-recurring debts to the visual world."

Those of you who follow my ‘stream may detect a recurring visual theme to which I can only reply ‘guilty m’lud...hic!’
Another of my recurring theme of 'not being very good at growing my favourite flowers so photographing someone else's instead'! I have several Honeysuckles at home but they only ever produce a few flowers, not like this beauty at (once again), Helmingham Hall in Suffolk. Such a beautiful summery flower with a sweet honey scent.
CORNELIA: “Daddy, why do I feel like I am being looked at? Is somebear watching me?”
The theme for "Smile on Saturday" on the 20th of May is "copy-composite", where I am required to make a composite photo that features a recurring object, person or animal. So, I decided to use my new little girl bear, Cornelia, who debuted on Flickr a few weeks ago. She is such a cutie that I have duplicated her a number of times for this creation. I hope that this meets the brief set by Maria. I also hope that you like my choice for the theme, and that it makes you smile!
Cornelia, I found in an antique and vintage market quite recently. She is a vintage edition Russ Bear from their Mohair Collection. She is made of deliberately mottled mohair to give her that vintage look. One of a limited edition of 10,000, she was designed by artist Carol Hosfstad and is completely handmade.
Yes, this lighthouse has been a recurring theme in many of my photos! :)
It's just such a fabulous setting, and there are so many angles to play with.
I thought about cropping this further around the lighthouse but decided against it in the end.
This is one of the ways Camille tells us she is ready to come inside; she appears at one of several windows with a look like this. We think looking in the windows also contributed to her decision to bring her 4 kittens to our door; we caught "that tabby" staring into our house on at least 3 occasions before she came with family in tow.
(meanwhile, Jimmy sleeps)
Red-throated Loon is the smallest of the world’s loons (divers), yet in a recurring theme (see my captions for Wilson’s Warbler www.flickr.com/photos/luminouscompositions/53051510458/in... and Green-winged Teal www.flickr.com/photos/luminouscompositions/53066254602/in... ) it is the species that breeds the farthest north. In North America, Red-throated Loon is found all the way up to the continent’s farthest north land on Ellesmere Island, Nunavut, Canada. This image shows the red throat and complementary red eye of a breeding adult. This individual was at Boot Lake in the town of Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Canada — even though it was early June, there was still ice on most of the lake except at the south end.
