Realization of Freedom by Scott Peck
I got this from Scott Peck's website (www.scottpeckphoto.com). I like his work because of how much work he puts into his pictures and how surreal they look. All of his work is a great example of the constructed image. Many of his pictures are of objects (mostly flowers, unlike this photo) positioned in front of an image from the Hubble telescope. He spends hours positioning and photographing with a homemade camera. The box in this picture is about half a centimeter wide and the chain is the kind of fine chain you'd find on a necklace. He gets such intense clarity by combining hundreds of shots at different levels of focus.
