The two missing phony brown shutters on the leftmost windows point toward a promsing future of having the ridiculous phony shutters removed from the building entirely.

This is yet another picture I botched, ruined, by not getting everything centered up: Compare the light fixtures on either side of the double doors. I am very sorry!

Personally I like the reduction in the number of windows because it makes the building distinctively funny-looking.

The house, at 1301 Market Street, is within the boundaries of the National Park Service-designated Avery Street Historic District, but the National Park Service turned up their snob noses at it, declaring it "instrusive" upon their precious district on the grounds that it was "drastically altered by insensitive synthetic siding."

Well you tell the National Park Service that this happens to be my favorite building in their entire dang historic district!
