Mornings on this country road always seems to offer up some rays of light. You better have a clean windshield.

“Everything happens around us, but no one knows how. Everything is before us, but no one sees the source. All together and individually, people appreciate that part of the knowledge that is already known. They do not know how to use the unknown to achieve knowledge with his help. Is this not a delusion? 1. Removes a tool (camera), not a photographer.
2. The choice of tool limits the possibilities.
3. Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.
4. The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...
5. The moment of observation is the real find ...
6. Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.
7. Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.
8. The meaning of all this is the process!
9. Let it be!

We decided earlier today that we would have a shoot tonight. Lady luck was on our side, as well as mother nature. Lovely sunrays coming down through the clouds. Thanks to Knøvle and Arne for a nice time :)
This 5 shot panorama towards Svinøy really tested my patience...
Today morning around Siena going to Vignano.
I love the way that Nikon D810 captures lights and shadow!

We lost Ray peacefully today after a short illness. I found him near my garden around 2012 and we nursed him back to strength, and he lived in this treehouse for a while before moving into the house .We named him after Ray Winston as he looked a tough guy ! After posting his face in a local shop ,his owners came round and identified him as their cat but decided to leave him with us because of their changed circumstances. RIP Ray
I was trying to get a photo of Ray lying on the garden table in the sun. He wouldn't look at me so I put the camera underneath and shot upwards and this is the result. Such a strange photo - he looks like the Puss in Boots cartoon cat because there is no light on his eyes and the markings over his eyes, taken from underneath, make him look like he is terribly sad
See below in comments for the 'real' Ray:-)
Happy Furry Friday everyone.
We are off to see The Play That Goes Wrong tomorrow night. It won the Olivier award for the best comedy a couple of years ago so we are hoping for a good night.
Wishing you a weekend full of laughter

Wow...It feels like forever since I last uploaded an image here & it felt so good to dust the camera off & get to the coast to shoot.
Life has been so busy with work, family, running(7 weeks till my first marathon) & the dog.
The camera has spent sometime in the bag & then last week while on some time off work we decided to spend a few days at Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island. The first morning I spent running, it's a rather interesting way of scouting spots, but I did come across some very nice beaches with some cool rocks, the next morning was the cameras turn, out of bed early & down 220 stairs before a walk along the beach in the dark. the light started on the horizon with some colour but soon faded to a dull grey, I looked down to get a filter from my camera bag & this is what I got when I looked up!! Hope you like it & have a great week!! Sorry I haven't been around much but I will try & get a look at your pics when I have more time.
Ray at Night is a monthly event in my neighborhood of North Park ~
Ray Street ( pictured here ) is full of Art Galleries and this event is to encourage patrons and artists to mingle...talk...look and maybe buy some of the artworks exposed inside the galleries and outside in the booths/tents . Paintings , sculptures , jewelry ...anything goes . Also , usually they have local bands/ musicians playing there too ;-)
