Last night, while enjoying some wine and food on beach in Grace Bay, I took this photo from our picnic blanket, shortly before sunset.

It could be a long spoon but no, it's a ray of light illuminating a wave crest in the night sea.

The sun was shining through the hazy air in a small valley. What looked like snow flakes were thousands and thousands of airborne seeds of a kind of alpine cottongrass.

God Rays

Crepuscular rays fill the skies over a sunset on the front range and Denver after a line of receding thunderstorms pull away to the east. The westbound MNYGJ is in little ten curve under the shadow of Blue Mountain and the mountains above Big Ten Curve.
