Based on a story by WOLFGANG BORCHERT.
The short story "The Rats Are Sleeping After All" tells the story of a boy meeting an old man in the rubble of a German city immediately after the Second World War.
The man learns through sensitive questioning from the boy that he is sitting here to scare away the rats that want to eat from his little brother buried under the rubble. For a moment, the man can draw the boy's attention to a little rabbit and ease his post-war suffering with a little humanity.
I close my eyes and I see you dancing

A common rat hangs out along the banks of the Moonee Ponds Creek within Woodlands Historic Park. Pity it wasn't one of our much cuter native rats, but still not a critter I've seen much in the park.

So whilst in Bristol I battled through the Rug Rats to photograph the Asiatic lions, at Bristol Zoo Gardens. Having a birthday during half term week is an eternal cross I have to bare lol..which is why I enviably have to celebrate my Birthday at the end of February...
