Getting the rpi to work on hdmi on this philips tv needed modifications to the config.txt, hdmi_safe=1 and hdmi_hotplug=true. It worked out of the box on composite video. Using a USB keyboard and a wireless pointer. Display is a Philips 32inch TV, with a HDMI to DVI cable. No sound as yet so a few more config.txt tweaks needed.
My programming 'Hello World' has always been Mandelbrot set calculators...
This time, it was seeing if I could make the Raspberry ][ draw a pretty picture on its console (i.e: not using X Windows), using nothing more than the very raw 'sixel' graphics support in mlterm-framebuffer.
"Toolkits? Frameworks? Bah!"
That's 13 times Pi.
14 Raspberry Pis delivered in just one week! (12 of the 14 are shown here, serial numbers FN 1207..., plus my original Pi, serial number FN 1205..., heading the formation).
Out of the 13 only one had a little problem, in that I needed to uncomment the hdmi_boost=4 line in /boot/config.txt to avoid noise in the HDMI output.
