Another day done at work and on my way home. Off to the left is the UPS Sacramento HUB at Mather Field and off to my right another gorgeous sunset in my view. Moments likes these I think of my nephew that recently died as a result of a driver running a red light. I know he is in a better place and I know that he is watching over his family but his physical presence is still missed. On some days it hurts more than on other days. We are approaching year #2 and I have to say although their are still many days of tears that fall the bite of the pain isn't quite as strong. Death is inevitable but it is so dang painful. I am just thankful for the memories filled with lots of love and laughter that get me through those moments when I think of him and wish I could see him, hear his voice and give him a hug. {Random Thought 7.6.13}

The sunburst is lots of fun. It's bursting the summertime fun with this guy on a swing.

This is an illustration for a blog post about bouncy balls in elevators. (giggle. that phrase sounds funny)

"never to end a day accompanied with hatred and anger,

replace it with forgiveness and a good humane judgment...

then that's the time you can sleep early..."

This was the first time I got caught leaving public art around. It was with a sticky note in the MCA elevator that said "What will you discover outside?"

I woke up this day with alot on my mind. I wanted to be by myself and just be with my thoughts. I needed a place to think. This is where I ended up - Tybee Island. Sitting on the beach and listening to the waves as they rolled in and rolled out helped me to put things in the right perspective. I was looking forward to returning home to see some of the key people in my life that I had missed while I was away on my family trip. {Random Thoughts 9.17.10}

The random thoughts art project by Nina Meledandri on our fridge, accompanied by two car magnets...

A fairly crowded photograph. The building reminds me of Lego pieces and that is strange because I never played with Lego.

These seven apples are all buddies chatting while sitting on a wooden fence in Chicago's Winnemac park. "So bob, have you been bobbing lately?" hahaha!

After sitting on the fence, the apples rolled over to the baseball field in Chicago's Winnemac Park and sat on the bench.

I really like the still life quality to this photo. It's probably my favorite of my 07/07/07 series.

A bashed in nail looks like the number seven. These three nails spell out 777 for the flickr group 07_07_07 in honor of the day 07/07/07. I like how the nails also look like they are doing a dance. It's hammer time!

who decided that it isn't bad enoughthat we had to endure not-nesn announcers and 2 rain delays. they switched programming altogether and replaced the end of the game with nascar. nascar.....yup, nascar.

callan is getting pretty sich and cranky by this time. he is such a happy kid that it was heartbreaking to watch him having such a rough time

Will you be there for me when the storm comes raging through in my life or only be there when the sun is shining and the flowers are blooming. What about when I am sad? Laughter surrounds me and brings me joy but sadness comes and goes and seems to hang around a lil longer this time of year. Thinking often of losses - those that have gone on to paradise. Today wasn't a good day but I know that tomorrow is another opportunity for me to have a better day than today. {Random Thought 11.30.14}

Reflections of the way life use to be, a year ago, a week ago, a day ago, a moment ago. So much has changed and so much has stayed the same. I can feel a change coming over me. It seems like it is a positive change, so i am going to continue to roll with it. I am looking forward to the blessing I am going to receive in 2011, I've already claimed it. {Random Thoughts 10.20.10}

Let's put this nice tulip photo onto a wax board! Are you ready!?

Oh, and the print should be a laser printout, not an inkjet. It's very important that it's toner-based.

It fascinates me how what you don't see is somehow able to be projected elsewhere. Sometimes the projection is beautiful and sometimes it is an ugly monster. That goes for people, places and things. I like to keep it real, I don't do well with monsters. It brings out a monster in me and that is not pretty at all. I think most people can accept imperfections when the person keep it real. Treat me nice,not only will I act nice, but I will treat you nice. {Random Thoughts 9.18.10}
