The random dance is a perennial favorite at MX. Kids are randomly paired with another student, and after an ice cream social and some board games, they dress "randomly" for the dance itself.

(Not a wonderful design, but fun, and my first photoshop foray in a while. Made for that

Facebook tag game.)

The full quotation is,

'A nation is a society united by a delusion about its ancestry and by common hatred of its neighbours.'

To make your own random CD cover, follow these steps:

1. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random The first article title on the page is the name of the band.

2. www.quotationspage.com/random.php3 The last four words of the very last quote is the album title.

3. www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/ The third picture, license permitting, is the album cover. [To save time, get one from here.]

4. The finished product belongs in the CD cover meme pool.

LAB Theatre’s remarkable mobile stage is about to roll in to town. With eight actors performing, singing and interacting with the public, Comic Interludes is thirty minutes of mayhem, live music and improvisation based on the techniques of Commedia dell’arte, Clowning and Physical Theatre inspired by Renaissance European acting troupes and circus with a Pacific flavour.

A few years ago I rounded up all my unused wall wart power supplies and I carefully wrapped them up, ensuring the plug end was looped under the wrapped wire so it could not possibly escape, even in the event of a global nuclear holocaust. I even labeled them so I would know which electronic item went with each power supply, as far as I was able to identify them. Naturally there are always more wall warts than there are devices, but I thought it prudent to save them anyway. I placed them individually and lovingly int oa drawer, side by side, with two millimetres of space between each one.

This week, upon clearing out what we doctors call 'a load of old shite', I opened the drawer full of wall warts.

And this is what came out. A long string of permanently fused-together wall warts, power cables, phone leads, USB cables, and one European spec SCART lead, something which has never been seen in the USA in the entire course of human history.

Naturally all the labels were missing, stuck together in a vast cluster.

Impressive.

randomness is a dada essential

Well, today was the first time I asked someone to take their photo, and got them to pose for me.

- All communication happened with nods, gestures and smiles. These guys were fantastically nice.

- I regret not actually speaking to them to offer them an emailed copy. They clearly enjoyed the process, and I think they tried to work up the courage to walk back to ask me as they were leaving.

- My photographer's brain totally switched off when I shot them, replaced by nervousness. I was fighting my AF, I didn't watch my background, the girl is unsharp - which I suspected would happen, I didn't notice the guy's hair covering the beautiful girl's eye, and I didn't notice I was cutting out his hands. Will try not to be so nervous next time.

A random lazy pic. It was drizziling when I visited this place Kodyadka near Moodabidri, west of Karnataka. While trying to protect camera from rain, got this (stupid) idea :p
