Yesterday I was looking at another user's awesome owl photos and t has been months since I've seen/heard any owls. So... I said to myself "it would be so awesome if I could just go outside and photograph an owl" I kid you not, around 3 am I hear a few deep owl hoots right across the street! I was so excited I could barely hold the camera straight :-) Thank you universe.

A patched CR RS2 in LV paint is working at Meadows Yard. This unit was originally LV 214. Some Tropicana cars off of the Juice train are on the right.

The Ann Arbor RR - Michigan Interstate - Ann Arbor turn is passing the south signal at Milan, Michigan with RS2 303 doing the work this day - March 29, 1984.
A Michigan Interstate - Ann Arbor railroad freight is seen southbound, just south of Cohoctah, Michigan behind former Green Bay & Western RS2's 303 & 301 in September, 1981.
Michigan Interstate RS2s 301 and 301 are southbound with a short train on the Ann Arbor at Cohoctah, MI, on 5/16/1980. Michigan Interstate was the designated operator of the Ann Arbor RR at the time, and purchased these RS2s from Green Bay & Western in 1976-1977 to supplement the AA’s fleet of worn Alcos and GP35s. Relations with the Interstate and the state of Michigan would eventually go south, and the state would revoke their operating rights for everything north of the city of Ann Arbor in 1983. Michigan Interstate adopted the Ann Arbor Railroad name, and continued to operate Ann Arbor to Toledo, OH, for the next 3 decades. A scanned slide from my collection, originally taken by B Carlson.
The Octoraro Railway ran an excursion over the former Reading Wilmington & Northern branch from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania to Montchanin, Delaware and return. Once back in Chadds Ford, the mixed train traversed the connection to the former PRR Octoraro branch, and travelled the remaining length of the branch to the state line at Sylmar, Maryland, then returning to Chadds Ford. Here the power, two RS2’s from the Toledo, Peoria, & Western, has cut off from the train and enters a siding in Oxford, Pennsylvania. Talking to a crewman on the pilot is trip organizer Kermit Geary, Jr. (blue shirt).

More family vacation views from a 13 year old: Seaboard Air Line has two RS2's (1610-1677) doing some local work.
Lake State Railway #469 sits dead and drained along with RS3m #974 on one of the finger tracks around the turntable in Saginaw. And that's the "Forty Six Nine", not "Four Sixty Nine", numbered for the year and month it was purchased by the Detroit & Mackinac. The unit is currently the last D&M Alco left on LSRC's property, owned by Waymore Power. While it doesn't seem to be in any danger of being cut up, it doesn't look like there is any hope of it being restored anytime soon, either. One of the former Bluewater NRHS Chapter's VIA dome observation cars sits at right, which has since been sold.
Here is a rare Alco RS2 lensed near Rogers City, MI on 04-27-1979 at the Michigan Limestone Division of U.S. Steel Corp. We photographed several other Alco's that day.

One of the most iconic sports estates ever, and Audi's first "RS" model.
Personally it's not my most liked Audi model but it has a place in my heart as the stepping stone to two of my all time favourite cars, the '99 RS4 & '02 RS6.
