I will be running off with Mrs. Pixel all next week! We will be celebrating the big THREE-O (30th anniversary) later in the Month but find the timing is right to do a pre-celebration now. Our two big boys get home from college next week – ouch! They have this idea of throwing huge parties at their house (well it is theirs when we are gone) at our expense and repair.
FYI - Mrs. P wants everyone to know we were married at birth ;)
Lammers.

I came across this old phone used in my dad’s auto repair garage and also found my grandfather’s old repair manual (1919). I was careful not to disturb the dust as I felt it gave it the needed authenticity of a true Dusty Still.

I have commuted through this gloomy tunnel everyday since it opened.
It signaled the start of a very long day.
This looks even more gloomy on black, here is a new group to push this great idea and make it a permanent feature on FLICKR! We Want Flickr On BLACK!!
Track cleaning machine Rr3 has been build in 1958 by Schörling in Hannover (Germany) for the Amsterdam tram operator GVB. 30 years later it was retired and eventually found its way to the dutch open air museum in Arnhem. There is was stripped and completely renoved back to working condition in its original style. Since 2005 it has been an essential asset of the museum, since the museum is in the middle of a dense forest.
On easter monday I was at the museum and in the afternoon it made a single run on the museum’s tramline. Since it wasn’t totally unexpected I stood ready to get it a second time on photo.

Morledge, Derby
New to NCT as their 729, this bus had been in the N&D fleet for a number of years prior to me commencing my bus driving career back in mid-2020...little did I know then that on 5th March 2026 I would become the last person to drive what had now become N&D 45 prior to its withdrawal and sale from the company; taking it out for one last hurrah on late RR3's (unfortunately the destination blind had not been working for some time). It rests between duties at Derby Morledge having worked in on its penultimate run from Rolls Royce at Raynesway.

Pierre “P13-RR3”
————————————
A seasoned veteran of the Empire’s Stormtrooper Corps, when the Empire fell, Pierre simply turned around and joined the newly-created First Order.
Solid, dependable, a crack shot, and unerringly loyal, Pierre has helped the First Order to win many victories over the years, fighting with distinction on several different planets across the galaxy, battling smugglers, Resistance fighters, pirates, and more.
Pierre has won many medals and accolades for his heroic actions, and often is the first person his fellow troopers look to in a tight spot.
Schooled in the traditional ways of warfare, Pierre often has trouble accepting new and unorthodox methods of conducting military operations.
Kate “K8-T3”
————————————
One of the First Order’s youngest and brightest new recruits, Kate is unique among her peers, having not been taken as a baby from a family she’ll never know, unlike most of her fellow troopers.
Rather, her father, a high-ranking First Order officer who had his start as an Imperial Stormtrooper Officer, determined that his daughter should follow in his footsteps, and enrolled Kate in the First Order’s Stormtrooper Division at a very young age.
Kate is smart, daring to the point of reckless, and possesses a razor-sharp wit. She also has a strong moral compass, and refuses to harm a non-combatant.
A creative and free spirit, Kate is something of a maverick, much to the annoyance of her superiors, although the First Order has achieved several impressive victories due to her ingenuity and knack for improvisation.
—————————————
Needing both these valuable troopers to be as skilled and capable as possible, their superiors decided the best course of action would be to pair them together.
It was Kate’s father who suggested this, seeing a chance to balance out his daughter’s reckless tendencies, and instill in her a sense of discipline.
As such, in an effort to temper Kate’s recklessness and disdain for authority, but keep alive her creative streak, Kate was assigned to be Pierre’s partner.
This arrangement also had a dual purpose; To get Pierre to open up to new ideas and unorthodox methods of warfare.
So far, the assignment is proving to be successful, with both troopers forming a close bond, and showing improvement to their respective weaknesses.
There are even rumors circulating of a romance brewing between them………..
------------------------------------------
So, here they are, my very first ever attempt at large-scale character builds. I was inspired to build Kate and Pierre after seeing this, and I liked it so much I decided to build something similar.
Overall, I'm rather pleased with how they turned out, and I hope you all like them as much as I do!
Disclaimer: I did not make the First Order emblem or badge. I found them on Google.
