"ROR Star Trail"
This star trail was created while I was observing and photographing deep space objects with Astronomer Blythe Guvenen at the The ROR (roll-off-roof) observatory. The ROR is located at Kitt Peak National Observatory in Tucson, Arizona and is one of the commonly used observatories during their Astronomy Tours. Fortunately, there was no tour going on that night so we had the universe at our fingertips. The telescope pictured is a 16-inch f/8.4 carbon truss Ritchey-Chrétien reflector on a Paramount ME with a TEC APO140ED (140-mm f/7) refractor mounted on top. To the right, you can see the 500 ton Mayall 4-Meter Telescope.
