A very quiet evening in Unionville with not a sound on the streets and not a stir of the wind.

The young deer were in a field on the left of the trees and slowly moved to this area. Obviously use to people - but still spooked easily if large noises are made.

This nonbreeding Western Meadowlark apparently has nothing to sing about.

Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), one of three 18-month-old siblings (one male & two females) who recently left mom and were out hunting on their own.

It was a cold, windy, dark day, and the park was nearly deserted. A pair of Sandhill Cranes foraged silently on the lawn at the beach area of Stony Creek Metropark, in SE Michigan.

Sandhill Cranes are very tall birds (40-48 inches; 100-120cm), with a wingspan up to 7 feet wide.

The older you get, the more quiet you become. Life humbles you so deeply as you age. You realize how much nonsense you've wasted time on.

These buildings (many by the famous architect Ernesto Basile) are among the best examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Italy and Europe.
