I was driving uphill into the sunrise near Callington, South Australia. There were lots of kangaroos jumping up and over the fence line creating silhouettes in the sunrise sky.
Luckily there was one left by the time I got my camera out.
The title is a reference to QANTAS and their flying kangaroo logo and the time I took the shot.
Qantas 73 'Gosford' final commercial flight and it is off to San Francisco (SFO/KSFO), and then to Mojave (MHV/KMHV) where she will most likely, be parted out...
Seen here departing 34L Sydney Airport (SYD/YSSY) this afternoon!
'Gosford' was delivered on 17th September 1991. VH-OJM had logged 117,310 hours and 13,753 landings, a record for any Qantas aircraft. Just another 13 or so to SFO, and a couple more cycles to be added until she lands for the final time...
