Autocar Heil Freedom Superlight Curotto can
Back in November, WMmaster626 and I went to Moreno Valley and found a truly one of a kind refuse truck, especially in SoCal! A Autocar Heil Freedom Superlight Curotto can, unfortunately we were not able to film it in November and often WMmaster626 and I would talk about the superlight and wanting to film it. So on 1/22/16 we went to Waste Managements Moreno Valley MRF, waited for the Superlight to arrive and followed it to Unincorporated Perris/Riverside. During our November visit we spoke to a real nice driver named Dave who has been with WM for 27 years. We talked to him for a while and eventually NEWCO Waste Systems got brought up and he talked about WM Moreno Valley getting some of their routes in 1999. Unincorporated Perris/Riverside is the area Dave must have been talking about. Many of the NEWCO carts WMmaster626 has filmed in Arcadia were in this area. There were NEWCO zarns, 96 gallon blue and black toters even black and blue Rehrigs and of course 96 gallon black Turn-Keys along with NEWCO dumpsters that were still blue with NEWCO logos on them. We also found a Heil Python on route that was fun to watch.
So between the Superlight, the Python and perhaps the biggest shock, a ex NEWCO route it was a great day full of surprises. Thank you WMmaster626 for coming and arranging today, Thank you John (Superlight) and Raul (Python), you are both very professional and efficient drivers. I would also like to Thank John Curotto and the Curotto staff who made this awesome carry can. AFL’s have always been my favorite refuse truck. I grew up with S.T.S. Autobuckets, Heil Autocans and of course Curotto cans, so thanks for making this amazing carry can!
Invented in 2009, the Superlight is a Curotto can that is lighter than the Slammin Eagle. The dumpter is primarily made of special high strength Kevlar fabric and weighs only 1,200 pounds (compared to a Slammin Eagle which is closer to 2,000 pounds).

2 minute pothole repair machine. What a cool idea!
This seemed like a nice idea to build. Also has some playability rather than just driving it along.
Here is an article about the real thing
The Burmese python (Python bivittatus) is one of the five largest species of snakes in the world (about the third-largest as measured either by length
or weight). It is native to a large variation of tropic and subtropic areas
of South and Southeast Asia.
They are often found near water and are sometimes semi-aquatic,
but can also be found in trees. Wild individuals average 3.7 m long,
but have been known to reach 5.74 m .
Burmese pythons are mainly nocturnal rainforest dwellers. When young, they are equally at home on the ground and in trees, but as they gain girth, they tend to restrict most of their movements to the ground. They are also excellent swimmers, being able to stay submerged for up to half an hour. Burmese pythons spend the majority of their time hidden in the underbrush.
Like all snakes, the Burmese python is carnivorous. Its diet consists
primarily of appropriately sized birds and mammals. The snake uses its
sharp rearward-pointing teeth to seize its prey, then wraps its body
around the prey, at the same time contracting its muscles, killing
the prey by constriction. It is often found near human habitation due
to the presence of rats, mice, and other vermin as a food source.
Burmese pythons are often sold as pets Although this species has a reputation for docility, they are very powerful animals, capable of inflicting severe bites or even killing a keeper by constriction.

My father & brother relocated this beautiful python from a neighbors yard to the forest near vision falls, at Lake Eacham.

In 1981 Colt introduced the Python Hunter, made about 2000 of them. In 1983 introduced the Python Silhoutte, only info I could find was that they made about 200, maybe 500 of them, I am going to send to Colt for the letter and find out how many were made. The Hunter and the Silhouette were both custom shop guns, came with the Leoplod scopes with the Leopold / Colt emblem on the scope. The serial number on mine indicates that it was made in 1981, but they weren't out even introduced till 1983. I believe from some research that Colt would take blocks of serial numbered guns from a year into the Custom Shop, and sometimes they were not even built till years later. The only difference between them was the scroll marks on the barrels and the case they came in.
Found that they are selling for about $4000, sometimes in less condition as mine with case and so forth.
Trying to find one for sale? Good luck. You MIGHT see a Hunter for sale online OCCASIONALLY.
A Diamond Python or Carpet Snake. These snakes are becoming rare due to predation by Foxes and habitat loss.
Taking some photos, I noticed some injuries caused by an unknown animal and realised that he needed some medical attention.
After some excellent co-operation between DELWP and Parks Victoria with assistance from James, Kerry, John, Tom, Wes and Mark, the snake is now on his way to the Vet for some TLC and will then be cared for by a local wildlife carer before being released back where he was found.
Python molurus bivittatus
An adult found crossing the road in Everglades National Park. This animal was captured and removed from the park under a permit.
this was about 6 foot long. The guy who brought it round said it was as big as a hb pencil four years ago when he bought it. What a beauty! It has been a bit of a week for snakie action at my house - for those who dont realise.. Two Rocks is what i would call a 'snake pit', I have never seen so many snakes in my life until i moved here. And those are the ones i see, because they try not to be seen and are very good at it too. Last weekend i took a shortcut down a bush track (barefoot) only to take a step into a pile of baby dugites which scattered left and right of me... Now the question in my head was "do i keep walking, possibly treading on one of these deadly things, or do i stop walking" i decided to keep walking and for a few steps there were snakes on either side of me, keeping a little bit ahead of me at about the same speed. I figured if i stopped, they all might come back into a group which would result in me standing in a nest of dugites. Then a few days later, i went to turn on the tap to give the dogs a drink only to be confronted by a recoiling dugite ON THE TAP which was also a bit thirsty. It was about the same size as the ones i had stepped into a few days earlier. Maybe it was following me? I was forced to exclaim "CRIKEY!" and do a bit of a steve irwin type dance around whilst i got the dogs away. Very interesting my life is sometimes. Then it goes dead boring for months at a time.
Genus/species: Python reticulatus (Pythonidae)
GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: Normally colored reticulated pythons have several pigments: melanin (blacks), and xanthins (yellows) amongst other more subtle colors. Lemondrop is a “lavender albino” which is the same thing as a “tyrosinase positive albino” (t-positive) which have the inability to complete the synthesis of melanin but can produce other melanin related pigments such as various shades of brown grey and red resulting the “lavender” color. A “normal albino” (t-negative) reticulated python is yellow and white with pink/red eyes. Melanin and other melanin pigments areas are pure white but non-melanin pigments are present giving alternate colors (xanthines produce yellows). To make matters more complicated different albino snakes may have mutations giving them additional color morphs.
Our albino American Alligator, (Claude) Alligator mississippiensis is a “normal albino” (t-negative) with no melanin or non-melanin pigments making him pure white. If you google “t-positive albino” or “tyrosinase positive albino” you can find a lot more information on this condition.

DISTRIBUTION/HABITAT: Myanmar and India, across Southeast Asia and on many of the islands of the Philippines and Indonesia.
Found on the ground, in caves or in trees and they have adapted to
living in towns and cities.
