The new Python with the old but repainted lift hill. The waiting area has changed. A single riders lane has been added (left) and if the system of 'boarding passes' might fail they have room to make a meandering system. But during the opening day, there was only one train and people should make a reservation by getting a boarding pass on the machines of app.
Operation Python
At the beginning of 2018 a large part of the attraction will be demolished and then re-built. That is the first time that the Efteling does that at a major attraction.
Only the lift, the station and the foundation are retained. The remainder of the runway is cut into pieces of five meters with a cutting torch, then a crane is loaded onto a truck and then disposed of together with the disassembled uprights as old iron. A steel company in Belgium makes the new job and stands for the Python. The new Python will look as good as possible on the old track, only the supports on which the rails will rest will be round instead of square.
The rebuilding of the attraction will take the most time. The bolted connections are assembled with a team of about 30 people. The installation of the loops will take place in four large parts of every eleven meters. This is followed by a twelve-day test program, whereby deliberate errors are made to test the emergency stop systems. Project leader of this "Operation Python" is Frank Poels.

The Burmese python (Python bivittatus) is one of the five largest species of snakes in the world (about the third-largest as measured either by length
or weight). It is native to a large variation of tropic and subtropic areas
of South and Southeast Asia.
They are often found near water and are sometimes semi-aquatic,
but can also be found in trees. Wild individuals average 3.7 m long,
but have been known to reach 5.74 m .
Burmese pythons are mainly nocturnal rainforest dwellers. When young, they are equally at home on the ground and in trees, but as they gain girth, they tend to restrict most of their movements to the ground. They are also excellent swimmers, being able to stay submerged for up to half an hour. Burmese pythons spend the majority of their time hidden in the underbrush.
Like all snakes, the Burmese python is carnivorous. Its diet consists
primarily of appropriately sized birds and mammals. The snake uses its
sharp rearward-pointing teeth to seize its prey, then wraps its body
around the prey, at the same time contracting its muscles, killing
the prey by constriction. It is often found near human habitation due
to the presence of rats, mice, and other vermin as a food source.
Burmese pythons are often sold as pets Although this species has a reputation for docility, they are very powerful animals, capable of inflicting severe bites or even killing a keeper by constriction.
One of the high-level programming languages, Python is considered to be the most dynamic language that focuses on code readability. The best part of learning this language is that there are fewer steps in execution as compared to Java or C++.
For this week I used the lyric "New skin like a python" and decided to make half of my skin that of a snake and the other half normal skin to show a the change. I believe that this half and half went to further the surrealism presented because it gives more of a story where one would wonder how this change came about. I did normal editing with an S curve and desaturated colors.

This python had been been rescued from the home of a person who was a hoarder. It had scars from being burned while in the home.

Indian python, also known as black-tailed python and Indian rock python is a large nonvenomous python. The species is limited to Southern Asia. It is generally lighter colored than the Burmese python and reaches usually over 9 feet in length.
Lethargic and slow moving even in its native habitat, they exhibit timidity and rarely try to attack even when attacked. They are very good swimmers and are quite at home in water.
These snakes are carnivore animals and they feed on mammals, birds and reptiles indiscriminately, but seem to prefer mammals. After a heavy meal, an individual may fast for weeks, the longest recorded duration being 2 years!

We are now at the most inappropriately named Xzootic Animal Park. I wish I had never come here, looking at the sad and pitiful state of the animals here, which was nothing short of curel. The SPCA should force this place to shut down. The start attraction here though is Prony the Python. Prony, named after its captor Sofronio Salibay, is the biggest and longest python in captivity. Prony was only 5 kilos heavy and 5 feet long when she was captured in October 1996 but after almost fifteen years, she has grown exponentially and is now about 27 feet long and over 300 kilos This sign advertises Prony the Python and is placed by the side of the highway. These folks are out in the Everglades area frequently and they say they want to help eliminate the invasives. They love Florida's native snakes and want to protect them!
Off and on for the past couple of weeks, I have been walking around with my copy of Python Cookbook. Reading it has helped me to understand the newer aspects of Python, including Python generators. Even though I am able to read the book online and download the code for free, I still like to have the paper version in my hands. I suppose it's a bit like flipping through my favorite Chinese cookbooks and daydreaming about what to coook. I only hope that I can move beyond daydreaming to actual programming!
I am indebted to Irene Burton for sending me these fascinating photographs of her father "Hoppy " Marshall, a great Kenya character who's life was full of adventure and incident. Had Hoppy's life been a novel some sub editor might have questioned its plausibility.
A Diamond Python or Carpet Snake. These snakes are becoming rare due to predation by Foxes and habitat loss.
Taking some photos, I noticed some injuries caused by an unknown animal and realised that he needed some medical attention.
After some excellent co-operation between DELWP and Parks Victoria with assistance from James, Kerry, John, Tom, Wes and Mark, the snake is now on his way to the Vet for some TLC and will then be cared for by a local wildlife carer before being released back where he was found.
