Take care not to make me enter. If I do we both may disappear.

Saw that gap again today. While you were begging me to stay Managed to push myself away And you as well, my dear And you, as well Pushed you away my dear

Near the start of the run - it would only get worse from here...

.

When I workout, I sweat more than the average person.

I hate it.

I mean look at that. SO MUCH sweat. My sister has the same problem.

I swear to god, I would sweat in Antartica if I was ever there.

I would leave the gym with people thinking I had just jumped into a pool at the end to cool off.

Nope. It was sweat.

Sigh.

I will choke until I swallow...

Choke this infant here before me.

What is this but my reflection?

Who am I to judge and strike you down?

But you're

Pushing and shoving me.

You still love me and you pushit on me.

Rest your trigger on my finger,

bang my head upon the fault line.

This picture reminds me of Shirley in the Special music video.

Connor clearly had as much fun with this one as I did...

I'mma do the things that I wanna do

I ain't got a thing to prove to you

I'll eat my candy with the pork and beans

Excuse my manners if I make a scene

I ain't gonna wear the clothes that you like

I'm fine and dandy with the me inside

One look in the mirror and I'm tickled pink

I don't give a hoot about what you think

but I was REALLY listening to this while I took these shots.

:D

The only organizing principle of this flickr site is which 45 rpms sit on the shelves behind me, in other words, my 45 rpm collection. Here we begin a new “set” with two classic hits, because Hip Hop can’t be placed in Soul/R&B (are you sure about that?).

This is certainly not an unknown single, but like Kurtis Blow, Salt-N-Pepa are integral to Hip Hop History. “The Breaks” broke in 1980, and “Push It” cracked the top 40 seven years later. In the Hip Hop timeline one has to put Salt-N-Pepa after 1984’s Run D.M.C., the newest sound that first coined the idea of an “old skool”, an imaginary academy that had now been surpassed. In some ways, Salt-N-Pepa was the female Run D.M.C. : one turntable and two microphones jamming on the harder post-disco rap.
