This is a Goldhofer AST-2 towbarless aircraft tractor - obviously the most comfortable way to move an aircraft around.
The AST-2 is Goldhofer´s third largest pushback truck. It is capable of pulling aircraft with a weight of up to 300 tons.

When the skipper asked for pushback for his return trip to Invercargill from Oban, Stewart Island he had to do it himself !
Cathay Pacific Airways Boeing 777-367(ER) B-KPD is towed towards Terminal 2 in Frankfurt by a Goldhofer AST-1 towbarless aircraft tractor.
c/n 36155 (l/n 680) has had its first flight on 21.11.07 and was delivered to Cathay Pacific on 29.11.07.
The jet is powered by 2x General Electric GE90-115B turbofans and has a cabin layout with 6x First, 53x Business, 34x Premium Economy and 182x Economy Class seats.

What a nice surprise when we saw this Boeing 757 from Icelandair in this special livery in Lounge 3 at Schiphol Airport.
From the Jamie Oliver restaurant we witnessed the pushback and start of this beauty departing as flight IC 501 at 14h20 to Keflavik (Iceland). Landed after a flight of 2124 kilometers in 3h01.

This was pretty much the extent of the spotting action at Sendai Airport.
PrivatAir Boeing 737-8BK D-APBC is towed towards Terminal 1 in Frankfurt by a Kalmar TBL 190 pushback truck.
c/n 33016 (l/n 1588) has had its first flight on 01.10.04 with the test registration N1786B and was leased to Sun Country Airlines by CIT as N807SY on 20.10.04. From 25.06.05 to 24.05.06 it was shortleased to Transavia Airlines. In May 2006 it was first seen with winglets. On 23.08.07 the owner changed from CIT to WFBN. From 21.04.08 to 31.10.08 it was shortleased again to Transavia (now as PH-HSV). On 16.04.09 the jet was leased to PrivatAir after ownership being transferred back to CIT. The D-registration took place on 08.07.09.
The jet is powered by 2x CFMI CFM56-7B26 turbofans.
