As Willow, our ten year old pug gave up her usual howl of excitement to "walkies" this morning she had no idea that it wasn't going to be the usual jaunt to the park but a 4 hour accent to the summit of Snowden. Glad to say the queen of the mountains took it all in her stride. She retired to the sofa later that evening a little tired and achy (like the rest of us) but with, no doubt, a tremendous sense of achievement.
Always lazing, lounging, relaxinating. Our pug is the laziest dog I've ever met. That is, until there is the least mention of food, rustle of a bag, or jangle of keys.
Queue unnecessary barking, running, panting, sneezing.
Then back to sleep once more.
finally..with a large (40x40) paper
The paper was still quite bad...but I could shape it a bit more...
Now the ears look (i think?) better..
But I think the body is too powerful, like a bulldog or something, more than cute
Can you please suggest any structural changes? Then I'll try to incorporate those..Thickness of body/legs can be easily changed by shaping
The only major problem I think is with the tail..its more like a short stub of pleats..
I counted it out..its my 28th pug :D and i finally begin to think its ok :)
A sleepover last night with 8 year old girls, and romping in fresh fallen snow this morn, and Dookie is ready for a long winter's nap.

This is a closer view of our new picture where you can see the palette knife strokes. It's an oil by an artist called Rebecca Mickleburgh, who signs herself 'Becksy' - we love pug - he's no trouble : )
The Pug is a breed of dog with physically distinctive features of a wrinkly, short-muzzled face, and curled tail. The breed has a fine, glossy coat that comes in a variety of colours, most often fawn or black, and a compact square body with well-developed muscles.
Pugs were brought from China to Europe in the sixteenth century.
Pugs are known for being sociable and gentle companion dogs. (Wikipedia)
With their short-muzzled face it is easy to get all their face in focus. ;-)

The HMAS Diamantina - sitting in its dry dock here in Brisbane.
Was a pretty rare opportunity to get underneath her and shoot - the museum curators were very kind to us :)
My little pug always needs to be the center of attention.
She gets soo mad when I photograph
my dollies and not play with her.
East Lancashire Railway held a gala in October 2022. The organising team put extra fencing up so that for a voluntary donation a viewing area was created to watch the shunting in the sidings and various trains pass by
