"Don’t Look Behind the Curtain" is about the lies we tell to protect ourselves — and the violence required to maintain them. The child in this piece isn’t afraid. They’re complicit. Or maybe they’re the victim. Maybe they’re both.

The red hand is not separate. It is theirs. Or it’s something they’ve hidden. Something they fed. The eye looks outward, but the truth is in the corner. I wanted to capture the moment before truth takes over — when you’re still pretending it’s just a game.

There’s no actual curtain here. But you still feel one, don’t you?

Offering Vessel” examines the ritualized language of surrender how the body enacts meaning through the simplest gestures. In this piece, the unseen figure becomes a conduit, the curved container they hold a metaphor for both burden and release. The fluid it drips is not just liquid it’s memory, intention, sacrifice. The blood-like trail stains not just the wall but the air, hanging in silence like breath held too long. I created this work as a meditation on intimacy and transference, where the act of pouring becomes both cleansing and damning. It is not about death, but about what we are willing to give up in order to feel seen. This piece lives in the shadow space between sacred offering and quiet unraveling intimate, severe, and unresolved.

Artist Statement:

This piece is about the moment between collapse and clarity — when you stop resisting the noise and simply let it land.

Where the Birds Came to Rest is not a portrait of peace. It’s a portrait of resignation dressed as calm. The birds aren’t animals. They’re thoughts. Memories. Warnings. Things said to you that you never forgot, even if you tried.

Their claws are gentle, but their presence is weight. They perch because the subject no longer flinches. And that, in its own way, is a kind of freedom.

I made this piece for those who have been still for too long. For those who’ve stopped swatting at the darkness and just… let it sit beside them.

The Oracle Devours Her Own Prophecy is a confrontation with the failure of foresight the scream caught in a loop, the warning no one heeded. She is not merely a seer, but a mirror: what was foreseen is already burning in the background. The architecture fractures around her like memory under pressure. Her bloodless skin contrasts with the rawness of what she has swallowed history, war, ritual, betrayal.

The frame is not just a boundary it is a stage. The streetscape behind her is silent, abandoned, except for signs of recent chaos. She emerges not as a savior, but as witness and consequence. This piece is about recursion. The fire, the blood, the scream they repeat across generations, cultures, and histories. And still, we stare.

The Unrepentant explores what remains after morality is shed. The Lamb is no longer passive. This is not a symbolic disguise it is the true face of the figure. The raised fists are not for show; they’re the natural shape of someone who has learned that peace is a weakness in the world that shaped him. This is confrontation without apology. The viewer is meant to feel targeted because they are.

*“The Failed Blessing” is a meditation on the moment when every protection we were given faith, tradition, ancestral guidance proves insufficient. The room suggests sanctuary, a chapel for the grieving or the devoted. But the crosses rest unused, propped like relics in a storeroom. The hands pouring from the door are not resisted; they’re expected.

The vacant chair invites you to witness the failure firsthand. To sit and observe the divine silence while the blood spreads. It is not about rejecting belief. It is about witnessing what happens when belief alone is not enough.*

A Choir of Silence explores the resonance of inner solitude in the aftermath of collapse. Draped in ceremonial red, the faceless figure turns toward a fractured world, not in despair, but in contemplation. The windows, once gateways to light, now illuminate ruin. And yet, a single red bird soars upward—silent but not voiceless, fragile but not defeated. This piece is an echo of how we endure grief: not through noise, but through posture, presence, and an unspoken ritual of stillness. Here, the fabric becomes not just a garment but a tide—collective, mournful, and dignified. This is where stillness sings.

Artist Statement:

The Silence Between Storms is about stillness in the face of emotional turbulence. The faceless figure—smooth, bald, unmoving—becomes a vessel emptied of identity, yet full of quiet resistance. Draped in rust-red fabric that echoes both royalty and ruin, they sit at the liminal space between the interior and the infinite. Outside, the clouds churn like thoughts we try to suppress, and yet the figure remains—a silhouette of control or surrender, depending on the viewer’s own weather. This piece is my meditation on how we hold ourselves together in private, in that hush just before the heart breaks—or before it heals.

Sanctum of the Witness is about the moment before judgment not imposed from above, but emerging from within. The grand staircase and soaring rotunda symbolize the structure we build around our deepest truths. The crows, often harbingers of fate, are both jury and chorus. The figure does not plead or perform. She simply stands. In silence. In readiness. The red cloak, now tattered and pooled, speaks to battles fought without recognition. And above it all, light descends not to absolve, but to illuminate.

The Waiting Room explores the space between fear and familiarity the liminal threshold where past identities linger and futures remain unformed. A lone child sits facing a partially open red-lit door, caught between innocence and the unknown. The ancestral portraits on the wall are more than decoration; they are witnesses, archivists of memory, each face a silent echo of a forgotten truth. This piece reflects the quiet violence of waiting and the psychological cost of inherited roles. I wanted the light to suggest hope, but the long shadow to imply consequence.

This work is part of my ongoing investigation into haunted domesticity and the visual language of fear reclaiming horror motifs through a deeply feminine and symbolic lens.

Artist Statement:

This piece captures the breath between impulse and consequence. The Lamb isn’t caught in regret but in calculation. The hall behind him tells you he’s come far. The clenched hand, the flared jacket it’s not just about violence, it’s about intention. He wears the blood not as shame, but as signal. This is where he chooses what comes next. Not innocent, not evil just aware.

This piece captures a moment not of deception—but preparation.

“He Tightened the Lie Before Stepping In” explores the ritual of becoming what you are not. The suit isn’t clothing. It’s permission. The mask isn’t disguise. It’s strategy. This isn’t the moment of violence it’s what comes just before.

He doesn’t question the performance. He rehearses it.

I created this to hold still the second when complicity stops being passive when it’s tailored, fastened, and carried into the world.

At a certain point, the mask doesn’t hide you it becomes you.

“He Couldn’t Remember If It Was Still On” explores the psychology of ritualized persona the slippage between what we wear and who we are. The Lamb doesn’t panic. He doesn’t pose. He just touches the ear, not even aware he’s doing it.

The blood says something happened. The posture says nothing is happening now.

I created this to reflect the moments where the act of becoming someone else turns involuntary and irreversible.

Artist Statement:

Identity is rarely forced it’s often volunteered. And over time, it becomes difficult to tell the difference.

“He Tightened It Without Thinking” is about the erosion of self beneath the performance of control. The Lamb doesn’t resist the mask. He adjusts it, reinforces it, perfects it. It’s no longer a costume. It’s routine.

The dirt is real. The blood is old. The fear is gone. Only the motion remains.

I created this piece to document what happens when ritual becomes second nature and when hiding becomes indistinguishable from becoming.

Artist Statement:

Every mask is easy to wear...until it isn’t.

“He Couldn’t Get It Off” captures the moment performance becomes trap. The blood isn't ritual. It's residue. The Lamb doesn't look at the viewer, because the Lamb doesn't know who the viewer is anymore.

This isn't about pretending. It's about being unable to stop.

I made this piece to live in the space between identity and collapse where power falters not from challenge, but from weight.

Artist Statement:

Dressing the Part captures the Lamb at the threshold between ritual and performance. It’s the moment just before stepping into the chaos where blood is already present but nothing has begun. The Lamb adjusts its collar not out of vanity, but precision. This is a uniform, not a suit. The corridor, narrow and corroded, becomes a metaphor for inevitability a passage lined with decay, but walked with intention.
