Early morning on the Greek island of Kos. Near the psalidi wetlands, a small field of dry grass and herbs contained some wonderful insects, like this beautiful butterfly. It blended very well in the orange light of the sunrise. It truly was a golden hour!
In and around Kos Town and elsewhere cycling is extremely popular with holidaymakers - it helps of course that most of the island is fairly flat. There is a wide well surfaced cycle lane going from Kos Town harbour along the coast passing the pebble beaches and continuing well past Psalidi...

This photo was taken using an M.Zuiko 40-150mm lens @105mm and Olympus E-PL1 camera.
Burning sky in Kos island of Greece today. I did my best to capture all the colors in that beautiful sunset, but even this image is unfair to the true colors of that sky.
It took some time for the stars to appear. But when they did it was totally worth it! The lake of Psalidi is one of the protected areas of Kos island for preserving it's natural features. A lot of birds find their safe place there like, flamingos and ducks , that's what the observatory is for.

Yet another shot of this jetty, this time it comes packed with a startrail sky. There's about 100 images stacked on top of each other to create the final result. I believe this is becoming one of my favorite spots to shoot! Hope you like it!

Above Kos town. There's an impressive sea view too from here but it's hard for the camera to do it justice.
