Happy Earth Day everybody!

"Through the UN World Oceans Day 2023 theme Planet Ocean: Tides are Changing, We will discover how Earth is more than it may seem, and generate a new wave of excitement towards cherishing and protecting the ocean and the entirety of our blue planet." ~ UN

Happy World Oceans Day everyone!

, also known as the Indian Tiger, is one of the most majestic and charismatic big cats on the planet. These large felines are native to the Indian subcontinent and are the most numerous tiger subspecies, with an estimated population of around 2,500 individuals.

The Royal Bengal Tiger is a carnivorous predator, feeding mainly on deer, wild pigs, and buffalo. They are also known to hunt other animals such as monkeys, birds, and reptiles. Their strong jaws and sharp teeth, combined with their powerful legs and muscular body, make them incredibly efficient hunters.

These tigers are famous for their distinctive orange fur with black stripes. The pattern of the stripes is unique to each individual, and scientists can use these stripes to identify individual tigers. Their fur also helps them blend into their surroundings, providing camouflage in the tall grasses and forests where they live.

Unfortunately, the Royal Bengal Tiger is also one of the most endangered big cats in the world, with habitat loss and poaching being the main threats to their survival. Their habitat is being destroyed at an alarming rate due to human encroachment, and poaching for their bones, skin, and other body parts is a major issue.

Conservation efforts are underway to protect the Royal Bengal Tiger, including the establishment of protected areas and the implementation of anti-poaching measures. These efforts have helped stabilize some populations, but more work is needed to ensure the long-term survival of this magnificent animal.

In conclusion, the Royal Bengal Tiger is a fascinating and beautiful animal, but sadly, it is also endangered. We must continue to work towards protecting and conserving this species to ensure that future generations can admire and appreciate these majestic creatures in the wild.

Every step, every heartbeat, every mindful breath—on Earth Day 2025, it all mattered just a little more. This glowing emblem, awarded to Apple Watch users who completed a workout on April 22nd, celebrates more than just movement. The sleek gold lines form the numbers "2025," wrapping around a radiant Earth at the center—a subtle reminder that our health and the planet’s health are deeply connected.

This badge isn’t just a digital trophy—it’s a symbol of action. A quiet high five from the Earth herself, saying thank you for moving with purpose, for showing up, for choosing to be part of something bigger. Whether it was a run through the woods, a yoga session under the sky, or a quick walk around the block—today, it counted.

Through jungle deep and rivers wide,

A tiger moves with fearsome stride.

Its golden coat with stripes so bold,

A tale of strength and grace untold.

Its eyes like fire, fierce and bright,

They pierce the silence of the night.

With every step, the earth does bow,

A king beneath the ancient bough.

Yet whispers tell of dwindling space,

Of forests lost without a trace.

Man’s greed has left its kingdom small,

A fading echo, a dying call.

But hope still shines, a future near,

Where tiger roars will fill the ear.

If hands unite and hearts ignite,

The tiger’s fate may yet burn bright.

www.flickr.com/photos/184806716@N02/54406854578/in/pool-i...

Through emerald forests, thick and deep,

A striped king walks where shadows sleep.

The rustling leaves, the whispering trees,

Bow in silence as he weaves.

His paws imprint the damp, dark earth,

A silent tale of strength and worth.

Amber eyes, so fierce, so wise,

Hold the echoes of ancient skies.

But roads now carve through sacred ground,

His kingdom shrinks without a sound.

The rivers murmur, winds lament,

A fate unwritten, yet imminent.

Will the jungle hear his roar,

Or shall it fade forevermore?

My favorite time on the trails of our Grand Canyon backpacking route was early morning. Witnessing the sun rise, as the rays crested the buttes, allowed the canyon walls to erupt with color. -12 gradi - sopportabili.

Istanti e incanti indelebili!

Good morning everyone …!

So the Pigeon has coming back from his dinner and his way, he makes some true amazing encounter! Look!

This scene has been taken a few days ago in my village near a big farm. So original to find a red cow in the middle of the snow ….

You don’t see that here but she is looking the path of the train :-DDDD

And this is not “La Vache qui rit” (for my French friends)

Ps: more seriously, it’s a cow placed there to show the importance of the environmental protection and the durable development.

View On Black

A beautifully textured autumn scene is interrupted by a discarded green can among fallen leaves. This image serves as a powerful commentary on human impact on nature—where beauty and pollution collide. A thought-provoking visual reminder of the importance of environmental responsibility.

At this point we are close to the Hermit Trail and looking forward to some Hermit Creek water! Concerning water, we’ve been fortunate to have found numerous sources with which we could replenish our water bottles. Starting out I made it a point to drink 5 oz or so every 20 minutes. This wasn’t good enough to keep me hydrated and I got into difficulty. I found 6 oz every 10-15 minutes, along with not hiking between 10 am and 2pm to be the ticket to ward off heat prostration. A breathtaking morning view, bathed in the soft hues of dawn.

[Location details: Coastal dunes, NSW, Australia]

The delicate dance of windswept grasses against the vibrant morning sky. The soft, almost ethereal light of the early morning hour casts a magical glow over the coastal dunes, creating a truly captivating scene. The composition, focusing on the interplay of the grasses and the sky, draws the viewer into the moment.

Respecting the delicate ecosystem of this coastal dune system is paramount. Let's all work together to protect these precious natural spaces.

📷 Captured the majestic Great Cormorant in all its glory! 🐦✨ This magnificent bird, known for its sleek black plumage and slender frame, is an expert diver and fisherman. With its long, curved neck and piercing blue eyes, it exudes an air of elegance and determination.

🌊 Watching the Great Cormorant perched on the rocks, I was captivated by its grace and skill. These birds are truly masters of the water, effortlessly gliding through the waves and disappearing beneath the surface in search of their next meal.

🐟 Fun fact: Great Cormorants have a unique hunting technique! After catching a fish, they often surface and toss it into the air before swallowing it headfirst. It's a remarkable sight to witness their agile movements and instinctive behavior.

🌿 Nature never ceases to amaze me, and encountering this Great Cormorant was a reminder of the incredible biodiversity that surrounds us. Let's cherish and protect these beautiful creatures and their habitats so that future generations can also experience their wonder.

The "Earth hour" takes place at 8;30 pm (local time) on the last Saturday of March. It's a worldwide event in which people, gouvernements and organisations are invited to switch off non-essential lights during one hour to raise awareness about climate change. I travelled to London to record the event around Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Picadilly circus.

Annapurna, a brand which has always walked the nature's path, truly believes the true potential of our beloved mother nature. We always tend to associate nature with things that are at its purest form which has ensured us good health and happiness.

Nature's sweet resemblance of a mother portrays her selflessness towards us. But what have we done as humans? Our endless needs turned into ruthless greed has led to our cruel activities bringing about change and destruction. And now we are tasting our own medicine, trapped in, suffering from our misdeeds.

It's not a time to regret but to realize what can be done. It's a time to act responsible and amend our mistakes, give back what mother nature has been doing for us, for generations. A time to heal the world and restore the nature at its best ensuring purity for our future.
