Romanesque stained glass windows in the Cathedral of Augsburg, dated to the late 11th or the early 12th century. From left to right they feature the prophets Jonah, Daniel, Hosea, King David and Moses.
The windows are about 2.20 m high. The Daniel, Hosea and King David windows are still in their original condition, whereas the Jonah window contains some reworks, and the Moses window is a re-creation of the original dated to the middle of the 16th century.

At the end of Lower Antelope Canyon in Arizona you can see the head of a figure which could have been carved by an 11th-century romanesque sculptor for some abbey in France or Italy, depicting the prophet Jeremiah or some other Old Testament character. His long hair and beard form fiery waves... Or maybe I'm just seeing things. In short, nature at its most virtuosic.

In a way, these roses speak to me. They are talking about life, beauty, transitoriness, and about our duty not to waste this life we have got. What the prophet says I am not so sure. He has been for years outside in the garden, and nobody listens, it seems. His presence is a reminder nevertheless. Of what?

Der Prophet und die Anhänger der Religion verehren Piraten als die ursprünglichen Pastafari. Bei jeder Handlung soll sich ein Gläubiger fragen: "Was würde ein Pirat tun?" Das fliegende Spaghettimonster verlangt außerdem von seinen Anhängern, dass sie Pirateninsignien tragen. Die sinkende Zahl der Freibeuter ist für die Pastafaris die Ursache für die globale Erwärmung - und alle übrigen Naturkatastrophen. Der Grund dafür ist bestechend logisch: Piraten sind cool. Mit ihrer Coolness haben sie dafür gesorgt, dass die Temperatur auf der Erde gering bleibt. Und als sie verschwunden waren, bliebt der Erde nichts anderes übrig, als sich zu erwärmen.Auf der Erde feierten die Menschen geraden den 2005. Geburtstag von Jesus Christus. Da hatte der Physiker Bobby Henderson eine Eingebung: ihm erschien das fliegende Spaghettimonster. Es war bislang noch von niemanden nachgewiesen worden - aber Henderson sah, dass es wahrhaftig war. Das Spaghettimonster offenbarte ihm, dass es die Welt erschaffen hatte - nicht dieser andere Gott. Die Evolution sei nur von Darwin erschaffen worden, um die Menschheit zu verwirren. Gleiches gilt für die Schwerkraft. Auch sie existiert nicht. Stattdessen drückt die Erdanpressung alle nudeligen Gestalten auf der Welt zu Boden. Wie alle Propheten erkannte Henderson seine Rolle zunächst nicht und tat das Erlebnis als belanglose Erscheinung ab. Doch so leicht kam er dem fliegenden Spaghettimonster nicht davon. Es ließ ihn nicht los - und so wurde Henderson zum Propheten einer neuen Religion: die Pastafari. Die Gläubigen würden fortan jedes Gebet mit dem Wort Ramen beenden.

Prophet und Genius (Lage: M 6, von 1961): Eine eher untypische Engelsdarstellung ist diese Bronzeplastik des Berliner Bildhauers Gerhard Marcks. Ein Jüngling, der als Engel gestaltet ist, geleitet einen blinden Propheten behutsam und liebevoll ins Jenseits: Marcks greift hier die Vorstellung des Engels als Seelengeleiter auf. Er tut dies in einer Zeit, in der viele klassische Friedhofsengel von ihren Sockeln entfernt wurden. Sie wurden damals als unmodern angesehen. Heute jedoch erfreuen sie sich wieder großer Beliebtheit.

Setting out for his true homeland on a Chariot of Fire. This is a scanned image from a really cool icon book I brought back from my trip to Greece.
The opening lines of this song, "Jeremiah was a bullfrog, was a good friend of mine. Never understood a single word he said, but I helped him drink his wine," are part of some wonderful song meaning speculation. A common interpretation is that the bullfrog is the prophet Jeremiah from the Bible, that the bullfrog, with his distinctive call that stands out in nature, is God's voice.

Backstory: One that uses time travel for its own means, not caring about the resulting consequences of changing past events. A piece of time traveling equipment is stolen by Eon, which leads to Prophet being stuck in present day Cardinal City. Using the knowledge it has acquired of past (present day for Solar) events, it seeks to create a new empire, one capable of controlling the world. Prophet's also searching for Eon, to get the time traveling equipment back.
