I will start by saying that I believe Corn Dogs to be superior to Pronto Pups (texture is the key)... but it just cracks me up so much that Minnesotans have invented a corn dog alternative, that I always buy one. The Pronto Pup is encased in a batter made of a variety of flours (including, it should be noted, corn flour)... rather than the Corn Dog, which is made from corn meal (and sugar, butter, etc).
