I see it as a little gimmick. The complete picture was created and edited with the iPhone.

Thousands of fans lined the streets of Burnley (May 6th, 2025) as the town’s football club celebrated its return to the Premier League with a parade.
Fans lined the streets and red and blue plumes of smoke could be seen as crowds gathering outside Burnley Town Hall and along the open-top bus parade route.
The open-top bus parade then made its way through the town centre to Turf Moor to the delight of thousands of fans.
The parade today was after the Clarets clinched promotion with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United in April.
Burnley became the first side in English football history to finish with 100 points but not be crowned champions, yet they also conceded only 16 goals in 46 league games – bettering the record set by Liverpool, who conceded 16 across 42 matches in 1978-79.
Success this season means manager Scott has achieved three Championship promotions with three different teams, having previously guided Fulham and Bournemouth out of the second tier.
It also means Burnley will once again compete in the top flight having last been there in 2023/24 under Vincent Kompany.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial (広島平和記念碑, Hiroshima Heiwa Kinenhi), originally the Hiroshima Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, and now commonly called the Genbaku Dome, Atomic Bomb Dome or A-Bomb Dome (原爆ドーム, Genbaku Dōmu), is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
The building was the only structure that remained standing in the area around the atomic bombing of Hiroshima at the end of World War II. The ruin of the hall serves as a memorial to the over 140,000 people who were killed in the bombing. It is permanently kept in a state of preserved ruin as a reminder of the destructive effects of nuclear warfare.

The King's Bastion Barracks is the largest building on site and in its day was one of the largest buildings in North America. It housed the Governor’s and Officers’ quarters, a chapel, which also served as the fortress town’s parish church, and barracks for the common soldiers.

The Cathedral of Berlin is the largest church in the city, and it serves as a vital center for the Protestant church of Germany. At 114 meters (374ft) long, 73 meters (240ft) wide and 116 meters (381ft) tall, it was much larger than any of the previous buildings. On 27 February, 1905 the present building was inaugurated.
Berlin Cathedral has never been a cathedral in the sense it has never been the seat of a bishop.
In 1940 and 1944, the Cathedral suffered extreme damage from Allied bombing.
In 1980 the baptistery and wedding church was reopened for services. The restoration of the nave was begun in 1984. On 6 June 1993 the nave was reinaugurated in an event attended by Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl and televised nationwide in Germany.

Portland Observatory was built in 1807. It is 26 meters (86 ft) high and served as a communication station for Portland’s harbour. It was a commercial venture designed to give a competitive edge to ship owners who paid a subscription fee of $5.00 a year to alert them when their ships were arriving. With a powerful telescope at the top of the tower, ships could be identify incoming vessels as far away as 48 kilometers (30 mi).

In the summer of 1926 Elsie Reford (1872-1967) began transforming her fishing camp on the Metis River into a garden. Hundreds of miles from the nearest nursery, Elsie Reford was faced with challenges that would be difficult to imagine today. Where experienced specialists had failed, she succeeded in turning her spruce forest into a gigantic garden that would become one of the largest plant collections of its time. Elsie hired and trained people from the region, like farmers and fishing guides in order to turn them into master gardeners. Over three decades, they’ve built a magnificent garden together.
The Reford Gardens are a National Historic Site of Canada. Some 3,000 species and varieties of plants, including the famous Himalayan blue poppy, are spread over fifteen gardens.

In 1871, Pugwash Lighthouse was established on Fishing Point at the entrance to Pugwash Harbor and the Pugwash River. The lighthouse, which was built in a “schoolhouse” design with a square tower rising from one end of the dwelling’s roof. This style of lighthouse is uncommon in Canada, but was frequently used in the United States.
The narrow point of land on which the lighthouse stood was often subjected to erosion and flooding. A stone retaining wall was built along the bank in 1878, and many things had to be done every few years to protect the point from erosion.
The gallery deck on top of the tower was rebuilt in 1880 so that a larger lantern could be used with a more powerful optic. Around 1960, a new tower was built on the point, and the old Pugwash Lighthouse was sold to the Mundle family, who moved the structure to their nearby farm.

Bust of King Louis XIV (not great - side on)
Notre-Dame-des-Victoires, the oldest stone church in North America. The white and gold mosaics inside this Catholic Church are absolutely captivating. Look for the suspended scale model of Le Breze in the church nave - this was the vessel that brought Marquis de Tracy and members of the Carignan Regiment to New France in 1664. Horse-drawn boat (tow scow)
Departs the dock behind Cook’s Tavern and takes about 15 minutes along the canal to reach the dock at the Tenant Farm where it unloads. There the tow scow loads again, turns around and returns to Cook’s Tavern. The tow scow is tethered by a rope to a horse which pulls the scow by walking along the canal path. It is not possible to get off once the ride has started.
Well, how to fill in a whole morning trying to figure out Adobe's program Linda and to create this, the program got stuck a couple of times because I kept changing it. What a lot of jolly fun it was too. Hmmm, this could get addictive girl!!! I thought first of how we love to travel, but because I would actually have to travel to say, Paris, to get my current photo, time would not have been on my side so I stuck to home lol. What better place to start. I looked up the meaning of Papamoa: "raised beds for growing vegetables on the flats" - a bit unusual!
I have a ton of these postcards left, so if anyone would like one just send me a message at my new email jeremysorese@gmail.com!

Back view of the Cathedral and garden with a fountain that has a statue of Mary and Child.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notre-Dame Cathedral or simply Notre-Dame, is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture and among the largest and most well-known church buildings in the world.
Construction began in 1163 during the reign of Louis VII, and opinion differs as to whether the Bishop de Sully or Pope Alexander III laid the foundation stone of the cathedral. However, both were at the ceremony in question. It is dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
In the 1790s, Notre-Dame suffered desecration during the radical phase of the French Revolution when much of its religious imagery was damaged or destroyed. An extensive restoration began in 1845. The work on the Cathedral continued over the years and was completed between 1250–1345. In 1991, a major program of maintenance and restoration was initiated and took much longer than planned.
Most of my favorite promotional cameras. Most are 35mm but some are 110, one is Polaroid and one is digital.
