Did some promo shots last week for Melbourne hardcore band Ocean Grove.
Lighting:
SB600 (1/4 CTO gel) high camera right 1/2 power into reflective umbrella
YN560 (1/2 CTO) 1/8th bare in the back for rim

his guitar says "BUCK 'EM" so I'm guessing this photo was a promo shot for the "Dwight Sings Buck" 2007 album of covers released on the New West label as a tribute ablum. Dwight is a big Buck Owens fan & they recorded "The Streets of Bakersfield" together as a duet which was a hit record in its own right. Buck died in 2006.

Lena and I went out today for a shoot that we've been planning forever kind of as a promo for me for the onsetting senior-picture season. We were both really excited. I couldn't have asked for a better location. I was thrilled with the way most of them turned out.

it worked about 10% of the time which was super frustrating, but when it worked, it looked awesome.
ps. i have not retouched this photo at all. J-Go's just that hot. i did amp the blacks by 4%.
