The electrical maintenance teams from the FPT Global Renewables Division were requested to replace a failed blade pitch motor in one of the wind turbine units at the Theparak Wind Farm Project, located in Chaiyaphum province, Thailand.
The FPT Global Renewables Division was employed by General Electric Thailand to carry out pitch bearing exchanges at the Watabak and Khao Kho wind farms. A total of 33 bearings were changed across 11 wind turbines.
During the initial phase of the project, different routes were valued for the transport of 43 wind turbines, whose components finally left China, Vietnam, and Spain. These wind turbines went by transport to Altamira Port in Mexico, in order to be installed in the province of Jalisco.
They were needed nine shipments to transport the 43 wind turbines, a project that began last November and ends with the arrival of the ninth ship in Altamira Port in March 2016.
In this project, Kaleido was responsible of the maritime and land transports, as well as the port operations and lashing and welding works.

Our valued partner, Australian-based freight forwarder Henning Harders employed FPT Global for the urgent transportation and compliance for three sections of a Ball Mill Girth Gear. Each gear section weighed 22 tonnes and measured 8x2x0.98m.
