COD Horticulture Program faculty, students, alumni and industry professionals celebrated the program’s 50th anniversary at a community open house at the Technical Education Center.
The Carl Sandburg College men’s soccer team went toe-to-toe with the top seed and No. 1-ranked team in the country, but the Chargers fell just short of advancing in the NJCAA Division II Championship with a 1-0 loss to CCBC Essex on Wednesday in their final pool play match.
The eighth-seeded Chargers (16-5) were eliminated to end a historic season that included the program’s first trip to nationals, a school record for victories and a program-best national ranking.

Langara College celebrated our student volunteers in the VOLT Volunteer Program’s first formal recognition program celebration. On April 9, 2015, 62 VOLT members – the highest number of participants to date – attended the appreciation event to receive their statements of achievement and enjoy an ice cream social. Dean of Student Services Clayton Munro and VOLT Program Coordinator Maggie Stewart formally thanked the students for all their hard work in contributing over 2000 volunteer hours.
In the ACM Chicago Arts Program's Illegitimate Arts Festival I put on a little fashion show. This skirt was part of my Independent Study Project at the Program.

Stanford's athletic teams have won more than 100 national championships. Most recently, the women's water polo team captured the 2011 National Collegiate Championship, the program's second national title.
Oberlin theater program's production of Terrence McNally's irreverent comedy, Where has Tommy Flowers Gone? ran December 8th through 10th. The show is a quick-paced tour de force in which the main character takes the audience on a wild roller-coaster ride of comic sketches, dramatic scenes, anti-authoritarian diatribes, and fantasy sequences that collectively portray his life, personality, and politics.

Rebeka Townsend will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Education with a Spanish minor. Rebeka is an NC State Dean’s List recipient, and has been active as a volunteer with the Colonial Baptist Church and Colonial College Ministry. For the last three years, Rebeka has been a member of the North Carolina Council of Teachers of Mathematics and, in 2015, attended the organization’s regional conference in Nashville, Tennessee. In 2016, Rebeka was a team member for the Goodnight Scholars Program’s North Carolina: Mountains to Coast service trip. After graduation, Rebeka will become a full-time high school math teacher in Wake County.

Red-bellied turtles, also known as the northern red-bellied cooter (Pseudemys rubriventris) on the trunk of a bald cypress tree at Trap Pond State Park in Sussex County, Del., on Oct. 6, 2017. The Economic Opportunities Program’s Job Quality Fellowship aims to support and strengthen the work of leaders dedicated to expanding access to and availability of better quality jobs in our economy. At the beginning of October, EOP convened the 16 members of the fellowship’s inaugural cohort on the Aspen Meadows campus in Aspen, Colorado. The first of several meetings to take place over the next year, fellows discussed, debated, and collaborated on a host of crucial issues related to quality job access and availability. These are photos taken from that event.
