A quaint cabin on a small island in Montana's Salmon Lake. Was surrounded by beautiful autumn foliage. Now that's some sweet privacy.

Friday's here. Enjoy!

What luck that the days are gone when even cockroaches could be spies in unusual disguises.

But then, how different is it really today?

To this day I still have dreams of rooms like this. Always looking for a lighted, lockable, clean cabin with a clean toilet.

What a waste of precious dream time!

I was surprised to find a hawk on my back fence, but then again not surprised because there are rabbits and squirrels that play back there too.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

I remember that this was a very cold morning. My only friend was my medium steeped tea while I positioned outside and then back in the car for comfort.

The morning shots are so nice though.

"There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself."

An autumn view of a rather nicely located lodge on an island in the middle of Montana's Salmon Lake. Sweet seclusion and privacy.

This Lodge is owned by the University of Montana last I heard. It can be rented out for conferences or special occasions. It had been listed for sale. If only I had a few extra million dollar$......

Heck, I'd be interested in the cabin on the island to the right (in comments). Might be able to afford that.

Your visits, remarks, faves and suggestions are always appreciated.

This type of fence is known as a privacy fence where I come from. It is great for around pools or anywhere where you want to keep out pets and kids for safety reasons. It is also so people can’t see onto your property. Somehow it seems ridiculous to have a ‘privacy fence‘ with slats missing. I don’t know about you, but I can see a car and tires behind the fence. There is also a lot of junk which could be identified if you were to walk up to the fence and look through the slats.

Happy Fence Friday.

I drove by this bouse near Pienza several times before I stopped to take a picture. The cedar trees are blocking the view of the house, and to its occupants, offering only partial privacy from the traffic on the road. I decided that was what made it interesting.

October, we're ready for you to get here!

Generally speaking, privacy is the right to be let alone, or freedom from interference or intrusion. That is important enough. However, the Latin root of the term shows another and a much less attractive side - "privare" can also mean to steal (that is why the French philosopher Proudhon could say "private property is theft"). I do take my own privacy seriously, but I know as well that it must not be exercised at the expense of others. Privacy is for citizens, not for garden gnomes. 7Artisans lens.

xena would really like some privacy so she can take the nap that she so desires

There is a girl in this photo

She was taking selfies

And I barely saw her, she was blending in

I felt a bit bad afterwards

She wanted probably some privacy - and there I was taking in the scenery and capturing it forever, with her in it

😅☺️😊

The Bahia Palace, set in extensive gardens, was built in the late 19th century by the Grand Vizier of Marrakesh, Si Ahmed ben Musa (Bou-Ahmed). Bou Ahmed resided here with his four wives, 24 concubines and many children. With a name meaning "brilliance", it was intended to be the greatest palace of its time, designed to capture the essence of Islamic and Moroccan architectural styles. Bou-Ahmed paid special attention to the privacy of the palace in its construction and employed architectural features such as multiple doors which prevented passers-by from seeing into the interior. The palace took seven years to build, with hundreds of craftsmen from Fes working on its wood, carved stucco and zellij. The palace is set in a two-acre (8,000 m²) garden with rooms opening onto courtyards. The palace acquired a reputation as one of the finest in Morocco and was the envy of other wealthy citizens. Upon the death of Bou-Ahmed in 1900, the palace was raided by Sultan Abd al-Aziz.

Makes me wonder what is on the other side of this taller than normal privacy fence.

Hi There!

It seems that I am on topics related to butterflies so it is only timely that I caught this Monarch ovipositing on milkweed yesterday morning! I was after this Monarch for at least a half an hour as it zoomed within the milkweeds at the edge of the pond. I didn't realize it was laying eggs until I saw this on the monitor.

I appreciate your time to view and comment on this image, THANK YOU! Have a happy day!
