My apologies to the Star Wars fans.

No offense intended.

By the way, shouldn't these horns pointing up?

💻Star Flatz computer log, stardate 12345.11 Captain Lirk:

Entry from the arrival at the birthday party of Mr. Glock, Commander of the famous Enterprise, who celebrates his 150th birthday today. Dr McRoy and I got dressed up, Marty, Lt Likaru Bulu and Lt Commander Mont Bomery Flott also came along. We already met some people we knew, like Princess Leia and R2D2, Mr and Mrs Brush and Mr Carot. Photo Kurt was there for the Weekly Observer.

Mr. Glock welcomed us on an original throne surrounded by a rose arch. We were quite surprised, as we had imagined the planet of the Vulcans to be somewhat more austere.

Danke Jutta für Dein Foto von Commander Mr. Glock und Foto Kurt!

Danke Jeanne für Dein Foto von Prinzessin Leia und R2D2!

Thank you for your comments and favourites on my photography. I am grateful to you all. Stay safe my friends.

In February 2022 we attended the Sci-Fi Festival in Bartow, Florida. There is a tremendously heavy participation by attendees dressed as their favorite sci-fi characters. Though the heavy attendance made backgrounds challenging, we were able to photograph several of the attendees. I was not sure which character this young lady was representing but thought it might be Princess Leia. She, as most of the costumed characters, seemed more than willing to give you a quick pose . . .

My cat Leia. That's right -- Princess Leia.

I just thought this was a fun scene!

I wanted to shoot something to show respect to Carrier Fisher who unfortunately passed away today. I had to improvise on the minifigure, but hopefully it does her justice.

Rest in peace. You were a princess, a leader and an inspiration both on screen and off.

Rest in peace, Carrie Fisher...

May Peace Be with You. That may be the message or it also may be someone like me, who does not give a hoot (to soften the note) about Science Fiction or the whole SW franchise. As graffiti in Prague goes, this one is pretty good, as I did not find too much on the walls of this city which would grab my attention. Fuck Wars, but celebrate Princess Leia bondage is a bit mixed message in my opinion. This is a work by Prizmu, crew from Zagreb, Croatia, composed by engravers, writers, designers and film-makers.

Following up on my tribute to Carrie Fisher's (1956-2016) character princess Leia, I have built R2-D2 and gave Leia neck and waist articulation, and swapped her weapon for her personal blaster. Here she is giving R2-D2 the stolen plans to the Death Star from the beginning scene of Star Wars : A New Hope.

More pictures to follow of both Leia and R2-D2. His 3rd leg retracts inside of him, head rotates and side legs pivot. :)

Sorry for the somewhat poor photo quality, my iPhone doesn't handle low light well. Orange light glow is from my salt block lamp.

... for showing a certain girl that there can be female heroes, too, and princesses don't need to wait to be saved, but can kick ass as well.

I'll miss you

Here's Han Solo and Princess Leia in Endor outfit featuring two Endor Rebel Troopers.

I photographed this at the beginning of the year, exactly on the first day of the year. For all these months, I have dealt this as a color image, but for some reason it has not caught on. But today, when I decided to try a black and white version, it started to speak to me. I'm just wondering where the heck is Chewbacca because he should be here, too... oh, the wonders of my photography!

In April 2008, this picture moved into my top dozen right into number 2 for interestingness. Who knows what the flickr algorithm is thinking, as there are much better ones in the series. Since this picture got so popular with almost 6,000 views (being in the Christy Marie Slave Leia pool,, I used flickr photo editor to lighten up the photo on 11-23-08

Honestly, I think the only reason he came in this costume was to try to get into the Slave Leia group shot at 2PM.

Cosplaying as the classic image of Princess Leia from A New Hope (Star Wars). This is the first time I cosplayed as her.

I've made the dress, the belt and painted the gun black. The gun is really Han Solo's gun. Leia should have Stormtrooper's gun.

The updo is a blend of my own hair and fake hair lengths mixed and rolled up and pinned with 100's of pins.

As I posed at a cinema so it was probably at some premiere, I think it was Attack of Clones so it must be 2002?

Of course I struck same pose as with the Mara picture. :P

As a total I've cosplayed about 5-6 times as Leia. About 4 times with the complicated hairdo. I think I went to both premieres (Attack of Clones and Revenge of the Sith) in this getup, as well as two conventions. And then some gatherings without the hairdo. The dress got dirty at the end, it is hard to keep a white garment clean, even with laundry detergent...

Princess Leia is once again imprisoned ... eeh, I meant that she was imprisoned just a few moments ago. Not even his brother did not have time to save her this time, because she has just found the gun, which she hid the last time she was here. In fact, Han Solo did something for the electronics just a seconds before the cell door opened. I'm sure that they are made for each other! <3

Anyway, everything looks good. Darth Vader is not breathing on their necks, although I'm sure he senses the disturbance in the Force right now. You know him and his Force thing!

And again, I dug treasures from the archives. Well, maybe the word treasure is too much in this case, but you know what I mean ... You decide! For some strange reason, this photo and the whole color scheme reminds me of the old game called Space Quest by Sierra. Some of you may remember that Space Quest was a series of six comedic science fiction computer graphic adventure games released between 1986 and 1995. The games parodied science fiction properties such as Star Wars and Star Trek. And my memory recall only the first classic pixelated versions. They were the best! What you see here is what you get… err, I mean everything is all in-camera.
