I took this shot in happier times...
If you read my last image description you know that I had some "issue" on the way back from St. Augustine. So I called up the service guy today, I mean, I bought the car only 6 months ago. Well, I bought it used, but from the dealership with warranty and all so I shouldn't have problems, should I? And here I am now, driving a rather uncool rental car as Nigel has to stay at the service center overnight.
Let's see what they all find. I hope they aren't charging me (too much) for all of this. Especially as it's already the second time I have to bring it in since getting the car. The first time round the driver's side window didn't close completely, now apparently I need a new timing belt (amongst other things). What the f... ?! Who needs a new timing belt after only 35,000 miles? Well, apparently I do - that is Nigel does.
I told them to fix the car for real now or they can have it back - na, I didn't say that, I still love him - but he needs to be in top condition for MINI Takes the States 2008, June, 13-15 in Miami.
Oh, I am looking for a co-pilot for the event. Anyone interested? Requirements are pretty simple: (a) s/he needs to keep her/his mouth shut while I am driving and (b) s/he needs to know how to handle a camera and take some decent photos. :P Oh yeah, and it would be good if you like Mini and MINI's.
