Ultra-Orthodox Jews gather at a water station next to the Western Wall, also known as the Wailing Wall, in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Hamburg – Imam Ali Mosque.
The panorama is not very good, it was difficult to stitch the single wide-angle shots together without some transitions. But it gives a certain impression of the round prayer room with its high dome.
The mosque was built in 1960 - 1965 as the fourth oldest mosque in Germany. The construction costs at that time amounted to 2 million marks. The round prayer room is a skilful idea of the architect, as the shape of the property did not allow the prayer room to be oriented towards Mecca (Ka'bah: 21.4231 N, 39.8258 O).

Ablutions outside the Sülemaniye camii. Prayer time was about to begin, and people were preparing themselves in various ways. While one man was readying himself with ritual ablutions, another was taking a quiet moment to read.
Although the Sülemaniye camii attracts many tourists, it remains primarily a place of worship. It has recently re-opened after a huge refurbishment. Originally completed in 1557, it took 14 years to build.

Tijdens mijn verblijf in Dubai vanwege de Airshow 2011, heb ik toch wat spoor opgezocht, in de vorm van de Metro.
Er zijn 2 lijnen: de Red Line is 52 km lang en is open gegaan in sept 2009.
De Green Line is 23 km lang en is opengegaan in sept 2011.
Er is genoeg persooneel op de stations, en eenmaal op het perron ziet het allemaal brandschoon uit.
De stellen rijden zonder machinist, daardoor kon ik deze opname bij de voorruit maken.
Voor het geld hoef je niet druk te maken, ritje van 15 min. die ik maakte kost omgerekend 1 Euro.
Er rijden minimaal 40 stellen rond.
Frequentie is als in andere metropolen: iedere 7 min.
Behalve op vrijdagochtend, dan rijden ze niet vanwege gebedsdag.
Ook hier in de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (V.A.E) is vrijdag de zondag voor ons.
De exacte lokatie op de kaart is niet goed aan te geven, wel rijdt deze lijn naast de autoweg E11, met 2 maal 6 a 7 banen de slagader van Dubai.
Het ronde gebouw achterin is een halte.

During my stay in Dubai for the Airshow 2011, there was some tracks for the Metro lines.
Two lines are operating in this growing city in U.A.E.
Cheap: a journey of 15 min costs 1 Euro.
Every 7 min a metro exept at fridaymorning when the lines are out of running due to prayertime for the moslims.
Metro's are full automatic, so no driver.
So that's way I could take a picture behind the window in the front!
