World of Imagination
-escape from reality-
After an intense and magnificent time of introspection again, the same message keeps resonating in my heart. Just expand into that which you seek. My Teacher used to say that you can never have more than you are. That theme seems to crop up everywhere in my world right now. When we can imagine more, we can ask for more. When we ask to be the instruments of peace, happiness, harmony, health and wealth, the perfume expands in all ways and the fragrance lingers. Otherwise we just have things or experiences with no sense of flow or connection. Then we lose our feeling of who we are and what we really want to be. We lose our relationship with Creator, Creating and Created.
I'm really looking forward to catching up with my Flickr friends and seeing what you have all been up to.
Perhaps you have heard this ancient story about two women who were the very best of friends. One was the wife of a fish monger and the other was the wife of a florist. One day, the wife of the florist asked the fish mongers wife to stay at her house for a few days. They were delighted to spend time with each other and at night, the florists wife had filled the guest bedroom with a fresh array of fragrant flowers which delicately scented the room with a wonderful sweet perfume. The fish mongers wife could not sleep. She tossed and turned and longed for her reeking fish basket next to her bed. She had been around fish her whole life and it gave her a sense of comfort. She asked the florist’s wife if she could bring in her basket from outside and as soon as she did, the fish mongers wife fell into a deep and comfortable sleep.
Our Teacher used to tell us this story. Lately I’ve been thinking about it again. So many of us are stuck in the same habits day in and day out, we no longer feel our longing for new experiences. We no longer listen to our hearts and our imagination begins to atrophy. We get stuck in a rut and life becomes cumbersome and we repeat the same day over and over. We get comfortable in our discomfort. We feel the pain but we forget who we are. We have this awesome power to imagine and create. This posting pays homage to this magnificent faculty to lift us toward fragrant new thoughts in life away from the putrid and stale patterns that no longer serve our love and our joy.

I always had something like this in mind, but nothing really worked out thus far. The shot at hand? Yep, I think that one works.
